Guesthouse vacation rentals in Boston

This is my 2nd stay here and is always the first place I look into when I visit Somerville or Cambridge. Super close to restaurants, the red line and star market grocery. I definately plan to stay here on future trips to the area.

Super place! Wish we could’ve stayed longer. In town for one night. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Comfy and quiet. Close to everything. Great view! We watched the sun while having coffee on the little deck. Friendly and responsive host. Would stay again!

Wendy and Doug’s upstairs suite of rooms is roomy, very comfortable, quiet and super convenient to downtown Salem without being right in the middle of the crowds. We walked to downtown easily. Wendy was so helpful especially when we had a last mins dress alterations project, offering up her sewing machine so the work was done in time for the evening’s event. Overall a lovely stay.

Lovely cottage surrounded by countryside: there were ducks, wild turkeys, chipmunks and blue jays in the garden. 5 mins drive from the lovely town of Dedham and 30 mins into central Boston. Cottage is small but beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Mark was super helpful.

Woody was an excellent host! Very communicative from the start - no surprises! He prepared a comprehensive info package about the property and surrounding area as well as personal recommendations. While the property was an addition to their home, it was quiet and private. The unit was very comfortable, well-appointed and spotless. The vaulted ceilings with skylights and numerous lg windows (w/blinds) allowed for lots of natural light during the day but privacy at night. Off-street parking and close proximity to public transportation was a huge plus! The neighborhood was extremely vibrant and diverse. There were always teens, couples and families walking about. The "main" street had fun quirky shops and a plethora of dining options (Seafood, Mexican, Thai-Vietnamese, American bistro, pizza, tavern/pub, 2 bakeries and and an AWESOME ice cream shop/breakfast cafe) at all price points. While we were there primarily to see Boston, Jamaica Plain turned out to be the real jewel!

I could not have asked for a better place to enjoy some quiet respite. Beautiful location with a private beach just a short walk away. Cottage is incredibly quiet and cozy. The area is loaded with quality restaurants and cafes. Hosts are very pleasant and responsive. I had a wonderful stay!

This was such a fun stay! We came at peak tourist season (weekend before Halloween), but accessing the Airbnb was easy and Uber/Lyft had no problems locating us. Everything was clean, warm, and very cute! The beds were super comfortable - plenty of blankets and soft pillows! More than enough towels for your stay - and if you needed anything washed, there was detergent for the washer & dryer. We also really enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL views over the water. Absolutely stunning & so serene. Highly recommend and I hope to stay again the future!

We had a wonderful stay at Jimmy and Donny’s Airbnb. There were thoughtful touches throughout the guesthouse, the bed was super comfortable and there was so much space. Location is perfect - an easy uber ride into the city/to the airport or a short walk into peaceful Melrose. Jimmy was super responsive to any requests or queries and he made the most amazing muffins daily! We really enjoyed getting to know you and would love to return one day :-) Natalie and Owen x

This is a beautiful, peaceful getaway in Cohasset, and very walkable to town in about 20min. Roger was so responsive and helpful, we had a great time visiting the area.

This was a great stay for my family vacation. This 3 bedroom home was perfect for a larger family stay right in the middle of Malden, MA. The area was quiet during the evening and there were many restaurants within walking distance of the home. Only a few complaints: Upon entering the foyer there was an overwhelming smell of fish that had been attempted to be covered by lots of air freshener spray. Once you entered the home the smell went away so it caused no issue to the stay. Our most major complaint was the parking. The host was so gracious in allowing us to have our own parking space in the back of the home marked accordingly, however, if you are not good at backing in you may have some issues. The street is lined on both sides with many cars and it is very narrow to begin with. There are some very steep stairs to get into the home and to reach the 3rd floor so be careful if elderly are staying with you. Overall this was a fantastic stay and we would absolutely stay again!

Pleasant stay, quiet and private. Very responsive and let us check in a little early which was nice. Mostly clean although did find a dead bug on the bed soon after arriving. No other issues

Emily was very responsive and quick with any questions or requests. She seemed to enjoy and take pride in hosting visitors. The location is quiet and easy to find. It was a 3 minute drive to stores and shops. The unit was bright and updated. One downside, but also a positive, are the multiple skylights. They made the unit bright and welcoming. However, that also meant early mornings when the sun starts shining. Would recommend and stay at again in the future.

This Maynard stay is incredible, definitely one of the best Air BnB stays I have had. The host had thought of everything that one could possibly need. Stocked with all types of device chargers, breakfast and snack items that were great, hygiene products, nice adult beverages and more. We loved the awesome wood burning stove, and it made our stay so peaceful. The host was clear and concise when it came to check-in / check-out. The one bathroom could be tough, but its very doable. Awesome, clean, and friendly homey place! It was confusing when it came to what was compostable to those who aren’t used to it, but we made do!

We had a great stay at Mia's place in Norwood. My husband and 3 kids all felt welcomed, the place was clean and had everything we needed, extra linens, towels, a stocked kitchen and open space to play and be inside during some rainy weather. The location was perfect for us to get into Boston easily or visit friends and family in surrounding neighborhoods. We would definitely recommend Mia's place to anyone looking for a great, spacious and quiet place to stay!

I stayed at John & Linda’s Sea Mist Cottage for two nights (Feb 2–Feb 4, 2025), and I absolutely loved my time there. The décor and furniture created a calm, beach-like atmosphere that made me feel as though I was lying on golden sand, listening to gentle waves. Even though Rockport was my final stop before returning back, it quickly felt like home every time I came back from exploring, no matter how cold or tired I was. During my stay, I hiked Halibut Point State Park, sampled the local seafood, and took the commuter rail to discover more of the beautiful North Shore. I really appreciated the basket of brochures provided—it inspired me to explore Rockport to the fullest. John & Linda clearly put a lot of care into making guests feel welcome and at ease, and I’m very grateful for that. I found surprising tranquility and inner peace at Sea Mist Cottage, and I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely place to anyone who loves nature.

This was a great place to stay. The description was accurate, and the space was clean and quiet.

This is one of the nicest Airbnb apartments we have stayed in. It is perfect for a couple or a couple with a small child. The apartment is filled with sunshine and has a view across to the Prudential and you can even see a bit of ocean. It is breathtaking and unusual to have such a view in Newton. Kitchen was great, space for us to work and hang out. The bed is very comfortable. A great place to stay.

We were in town for a family funeral and it was a perfect space for our family to gather. Ina and Eddy were so accommodating as our plans changed twice but they were so flexible and helpful getting back to us quickly. I can't say enough about how helpful they were.

We had a lovely time at Lori’s!!! The location was perfect and allowed us to walk almost everywhere in the city. Hope to stay again soon!
