Spectacular Ocean View House

Our stay at Casa Lawrence was great. We came for surf and found the house well-situated for the waves we came for: Shipwrecks, La Fortuna, Nine Palms, et al. An update on construction noise: there is a house down the road several hundred meters that's having work done, but it was never noisy during our 6 day stay. The loudest noise I'd get occasionally was the music workers were listening to. It didn't interfere with the feeling of tranquility. As many other reviews have pointed out, Freddy and Larry were responsive, kind, and helpful during our stay. Once we were up and running with the internet, I was very pleased at how well it performed. Was able to work all week long between surf sessions and did video calls without any issue. The house is well-situated for carrying breezes through and we were comfy using just open (screened) windows and fans and that's all we needed. The bedrooms are separated into different floors which gave my friend and I well-partitioned private spaces.

Ara finished building recently next door to her house. It is perfect for 2 or 3 people. Views are breathtaking. House is immaculate and well curated with style, culture and everything we needed. We went to several world class beaches very close by. Ara is a superb host and had lots of snacks, drinks and things one might want after travel ready for us upon arrival. It was a great experience! Thank you!

An excellent place to stay. The location is fairly secluded but the property has all the basic amenities. View of the ocean was amazing and it is a great place to see the stars.

Michael and Pamela (and their property manager Elizabeth) were kind and very helpful. Their ocean front home in rustic Los Zacatitos was fully prepared for our visit, with lots of extra touches including a new coffee maker and flowers on the table! Since we were arriving late, the owners coordinated with Elizabeth who, for an extra fee, prepared and left a home-cooked, delicious dinner in the refrigerator for our party. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Mike, Pam and Elizabeth!

We met Arturo at his dive shop and he walked us to the cabana. He was very friendly and chatty! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Incredibly beautiful surroundings. They have everything you need to enjoy your stay - rent wetsuit, snorkel gear, SUP, kayak. They also do whale watching sailing tours. Next door is a surf school. They also have a cafe with great coffee and small meals. While the place may lack a bit of privacy (shared kitchen/bathroom, bedrooms separated by a wooden door) it makes up for it with bohemian charm! :)

If you're looking for a truly exotic and private location to drop out of the rat race this is the place for you. Perched above the scenic ocean with a panorama of spouting whales, leaping fish and sweeping views, you can find peace just hanging out on the shaded patio. This is for a more adventurous traveler as some planning and rough roads are required to get here, but upon arrival its truly a gem of an experience. I surfed and dove while my partner collected heaps of shells and dried urchins on the empty beach. You can walk miles and rarely see another person. Dan was very helpful in my preparations and planning for this trip and his insights were key to our excellent experience. Truly a unique experience that you wont find in many other places.
