Vacation rentals in Blue River

We are so grateful to George and his lovely spacious guest cabin. We were staying in Jasper and had to evacuate with 30,000 of our friends in the middle of the night because of wildfires approaching the area. While stuck in gridlock traffic trying to get out and being funneled towards Valemount, I was frantically calling every hotel/motel in the region looking for a place to stay with my kids and in-laws, but everywhere was already booked because of all the evacuees. Then I remembered to check Airbnb, and George’s place was one of only two homes available for check in within hours . He was immediately responsive and welcoming. Beautiful roomy home and property. A highlight was him setting up a croquet set in the backyard and teaching me and my kids how to play. We were fairly traumatized by the wildfire evacuation, but his guest home was a great respite from the stress.

Perfect place to stay on are sled trip. We will be back to stay again.

Barbara was a fabulous host! She greeted us upon arrival and gave us a full tour of the place, including the adjacent fire pit and surrounding yard. Chairs were set up on the nearby beach where we had our morning coffee on the lake. Our dog relished playing in the fully enclosed yard. We would definitely stay again! the water is still. this home away yet so close. we plan to return.

Our stay at the “Little lost Lookout” was perfect. The instructions on how to get there were clear and we were warmly welcomed directly by Robin and the dogs. The atmosphere is unique and the view is beautiful. The bus and the yard are as shown in the pictures. We lacked nothing. Robin gave us a tip for a hike, which we followed on the second day. Great tip, no big crowds and a great view. The welcome package and especially the delicious cake made us very happy and we enjoyed it on the beautiful terrace. Overall, we were able to relax perfectly and it was a very special stay on our road trip. We can recommend the place 100%!

It’s definitely a home away from home.. Wildlife is amazing, we saw an eagle by the dock, little frogs, hear loons, and so much more. It’s pretty private. Glenn and his wife are wonderful, same with Nicole.. It was my husband’s birthday when we went there and we were surprised with a thoughtful welcome gift, thank you🙏🏻🌷 We will definitely be back!🌷🌷 Highly recommended.

Susan is a great and very kind host you really makes sure you feel comfortable and have a good time at her cozy BnB. The apartment is really nice & spacious. We had a great time.

Siobhan is a great hostess. The reception with homemade bread and fresh eggs was very surprising. The wooden house in the middle of the forest fully met our expectations. It was wonderful to stay there. The kitchen is very well equipped and Siobhan supports with helpful tips for excursions to Wells Grey Park. We would book the place again anytime. It is highly recommended.

What a beautiful place! Margaret was the best host i have experienced. Super friendly, quick to respond and willing to help with our special requests. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for the great stay!
