It has NO electricity or plumbing/running water, but does have a Porta-John serviced weekly. Renter will be cabin camping so pack accordingly; tents also welcome.

You will find a beautiful modern slightly boho space. Unplug and unwind in the brand new hot tub under the stars. Try to make sure you are at the Ginger for Sunset at least once, it is breathtaking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matthew’s retreat. The home is spacious across both levels, making it perfect for our large family. It’s beautifully furnished-comfortable, tasteful and uncluttered. The kitchen is generously equipped. The massive deck is a real highlight. With plenty of seating, two heaters and a grill. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to connect with nature and truly unwind. Check-in and check-out were easy. The house is exactly as advertised- no surprises, just a great experience. Five stars, Matthew, we are so glad we found your place/

The first 10 minutes of our stay was just us walking around the house going “are you kidding me” between the view, the personal touches (down to the quirky cabinet handles!!), the record player/collection, having stuff for smores readily available for the fire pit, and the sunroom where my husband had to drag me out of the morning we left. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, secluded spot tucked away from neighbors. Easy drive to the town of Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park. We loved the hot tub, especially during the gorgeous sunsets. The fire pit is also great (bring your own firewood), and our dog loved roaming the property. Tony is super responsive, and provided all the info we needed. The full kitchen is great, just be sure to bring your own ground coffee if plan to use the coffee maker. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Wonderful stay for our group of seven young women, with the perfect amenities and location for a relaxing and fun week away! The hosts were extremely responsive, friendly, and detailed with all their suggestions, help, and information! Loved the hot tub and fire pit in particular. Beautiful location and easy to get to town to explore. Thank you for a lovely stay, hopefully we’ll be back again!

It is an interesting and absolutely beautiful drive to get to Geoff and Sharyn’s cabin from Berkley Springs. Once there, access is easy and the place is cozy, comfortable and really nice and cutely furnished. The view from the porch was my favorite part-absolutely stunning!! And if you happen to be there during a thunderstorm, that’s pretty amazing too! Lol Last (but not least), Geoff and Sharyn are excellent hosts. They promptly responded whenever I messaged them and their thoughtfulness is evident in so many ways. I would definitely stay here again!
