Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Block Island Sound

Several times I have been welcomed here for business travel. Nice bonus to be able to unwind with a view of the ocean after a long day. Laid back, no frill’s atmosphere is what I love about this place.

We recently enjoyed a lovely stay at The Carriage Barn in Guilford. Our host, Katherine, was very responsive to everything we might have needed during our visit: a very easy check in and out process, detailed instructions on how everything worked, items for our comfort (a gift of delicious chocolates, many fluffy towels, silky sheets, etc.), and was easily available via texting. The photos of her restored historic barn are very accurate - it's a beautifully designed renovation and is decorated with lovely art pieces, cozy furniture, and a huge library of books for your enjoyment. The tv works great and so does the WiFii. We traveled with our small dog and there is a baby gate available that easily snaps onto the staircase posts so I was not concerned about my dog's safety.. Best of all is the beautiful views of the gorgeous Vermont countryside. You'll see lovely sunsets here and spectacular sunrises. It's a great spot to truly relax.

My husband and 2 year old stayed at Ellen’s barn for the weekend. The space was very big, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring the area, we didn’t spend much time in the barn as we spent much of our day exploring. Would highly recommend Ellen’s place!

This house was the perfect place for our family get together. We were able to use both dwelling and socially isolate while indoors. The grounds are extensive and nicely cared for. There were plenty of gathering spots outdoors where family could gather comfortably while maintaining distance. These are cray times, but this property was well suited for our family needs. The garden is gorgeous and there was plenty of room to spread out for a softball game or badminton, but intimate enough to find a nice corner to read or just relax. The location was very good as well. It was a short distance to the walkway over the Hudson (30 min) and to Lake Minnewaska State Park (40 min). This was our first trip to Hudson Valley but will not be our last.

The home was clean, spacious, and comfortable and Rosemary was a friendly and welcoming host. Highly recommend.

Leo and Michelle were very responsive with any questions we had, and even reached out to offer us an early check in. The location was close enough to our places of interest, while still being slightly rural. The place looked just like the pictures and we felt right at home. We will stay there again when we return!

Lisa is an amazing host and the house is beautiful. It’s so nicely decorated and clean. In addition, breakfast was delicious. Lisa is so kind and puts so much thought into every detail to make for a truly special experience. Incredible house for a weekend trip with a group of friends! The house was charming and the grounds were stunning. We loved using the lake and visiting the town of Pine Plains. Thank you!

We were delighted to stay at the airbnb and had a wonderful time! We definitely plan to revisit and look forward to our next trip to Boston. The stay with our hosts made the whole experience very special.

If I could give Grace and her place 100 stars I would! Grace made me feel right at home! She was so welcoming and kind. Her place was so peaceful, clean, and comfortable. She went above and beyond. I can’t say enough great things about this place and host! If you get the chance to stay here, consider yourself lucky!

Wonderful place, very clean, peaceful, and the owners were friendly, kind, available, and helpful. About 20 min walk to harbour with boats to Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket. About 10 min walk to beach, and about 25 min walk to downtown shops. Big parking area, beautiful garden. I traveled all over the island but I found Hyannis being the center of things. I'd certainly recommend this place in Hyannis.

We had the most lovely stay at Andrea’s place. Had the two-room suite with our adult daughter. It was like stepping back in time - the charm, quaintness of the cottages. No tv/wifi. Check. Ocean view. Check. Delish breakfast delivered each morning. Check. This place is an absolute gem!! Bonus - location. Surrounded by Gilded Age hotel and buildings with rolling lawn where we had drinks in Adirondacks listening to live music outdoors. Block Island is stunning as well - bluffs, beaches, unspoiled land, ponds. Just a perfect stay!! Andrea, Robin and staff were the best. Huge thank you!!

if i could give 100 stars i would! my friend and I came for a peaceful retreat but we left with so much encouragement and new friends. Tom was ready with local recommendations and was accommodating to our needs! Kate was such a joy and the pinnacle hospitality. these are people we want in our lives forever! when we are back in the area they will be our first call!!

We had a really enjoyable stay with Ernie and Eric! Ernie made us a delicious breakfast every day and made us feel right at home. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was a nice addition! Highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely beautiful home in a lovely area! We loved our stay here and couldn’t ask for anything more. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, and the neighborhood was very peaceful with a great view. Rebecca was an extremely kind and considerate host and we wish we could have stayed longer! Tonja and Tracey have the most incredible home! This is by far the most wonderful airbnb I've experienced. My colleague and I stayed here on a work trip twice and would go back in a heartbeat. The space is absolutely gorgeous, and all the details make you feel relaxed and completely comfortable. Beyond the beautiful, peaceful space, Tracey and Tonja are wonderful hosts -- warm, responsive, and thoughtful in every way. I truly can't wait to go back! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this experience!

This property and its location in the Hamptons is perfect. And Monika goes long past the extra mile to make you feel properly “hosted”. Beyond that, the AirBnB review character limit prevents me from doing justice to how truly extraordinary Monika is as a host or how equally wonderful the property is to experience. Sufficed to say, this was the best AirBnB experience we have ever had anywhere, period, full stop. We will absolutely be back.

What a lovely and beautiful location amongst the woods... perfect living space, a wonderful kitchen with everything we could want or need. Sharon is the consummate host. We absolutely love being there and our 2 dogs do too! We can't wait for our next visit!!

We had a lovely stay at The Lacey Rose. The house itself is very impressive and beautiful inside. The beds were very comfy and breakfast was terrific. Denise was great and stayed up to welcome us on a bit of a late arrival. Will have no hesitation in staying there again.

It was my family’s first time to stay in an Airbnb. Steve has exceeded all our expectations. He was communicative and so friendly. He even offered us for early check in even before we asked. He there waiting to welcome us and gave us a tour of the place. As we entered the driveway, it was like we stepped in to history. It made us feeling nostalgic. His whole place really gave us the feeling of magic, relaxation and tranquility. The cottage was beautiful and well-kept. For anyone who loves to cook like me, I was happy with the modern kitchen which has available cookware, spices and condiments. There were options of coffee and coffee makers as well. We loved that the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are very clean. Steve was also very quick to respond with any questions. In one word, cozy. Lauren and Blake's cabin was a quiet retreat, with a cozy wood burning stove, simple and elegant decor and the most comfortable beds our party of three has ever experienced. Only minutes to the quaint little village of West Stockbridge the cabin is a beautiful haven we didn't want to leave. We will stay here again.
