Vacation rentals in Blaenau Gwent

Having stayed in many Airbnb’s over the past decade, this has to be one of the best. From the moment we arrived Andy and Anne were both exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The lovely cottage is in a beautiful location and has all the amenities you need. The views from the hot tub are beautiful and the whole cottage is surrounded by woods. A particular highlight of our stay was meeting all of their animals, which included an owl and a goat called Rodney. If you’re after the perfect base to explore the Brecons with great hosts this is the ideal Airbnb.

Extremely well serviced upon arrival , milk ,breakfast cereal ,lots of bathroom products and cleaners for kitchen surfaces , was given exact directions being a 15 min walk to local pub the property gives easy access to Cardiff and points of interest locally also within a couple of hours to the Cotswolds and Wye valley .

We spent a week at Dean's place. Dean was very approachable and gave us lots of links of places to visit. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay was there, from the multiple big screen TV'S, the hot tub, the outdoor eating areas and the chimenea at the bottom of the garden and a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. Cooking facilities were excellent, plenty of space in the fridge freezer, and all the pans and utensils you could need. The area is really quiet, you can hear the sheep in the fields which were miles away. You are 30min drive from the Beacon Beacons, The Big Pit, The Four Waterfalls walk, the Show Caves are also a 40min drive away. Plenty of big supermarkets are close by. There is an excellent chippy just down the road, which was great value, their portions are enormous, and also a very well stocked local convenience store just past the chippy. Parking was easy, there was always a space. The perfect launch pad to explore Wales from.

Only stayed 1 night at Kay’s, really lovely place. The scenery and river are beautiful. There were so many welcoming touches such as milk in the fridge, breakfast items etc

Had a perfect weekend away here! Was asked super last minute to attend an event not too far away, booked this place a few hours before turning up and it was a gem of a find! Nothing negative to comment on, keen on going back there again later in the year :)

Such a beautiful stay at Kevin’s place, the kids loved the garden, we loved the view! It was absolutely stunning! We had some wonderful walks on our doorstep and then a bathe in the hot tub to take the aches away after a walking day! It was just what was needed! Two happy girls, one happy dog and two very happy grown ups! Thanks Kevin x

Great views across the valley, nice comfy beds, shame didn't get time to use the games room!

Fantastic stay at Craig's place, lovely house! There was a problem with the heating but Craig did everything he could to sort it out within a very quick time and communicated throughout. Thank you so much for everything, the snacks were very well received and everything we needed was there. We would recommend this place.

Natasha is an excellent host. She had Bread, Milk and Welsh cakes there for us to make our stay easier. There were teabags, coffee, sugar, plates, cutlery all available to use as well. The bathrooms were also clean and tidy as well as the soft, fluffy, clean towels. The hot tub was amazing too as it helped with relaxing sore muscles after the hike we took. Very helpful, kind, thoughtful and accommodating Host. Natasha went above and beyond what a host should do really. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Natasha as a host as well as this place to stay.
