Cabin vacation rentals in Black Lake

We were looking for a home base as we explored Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Brandon’s place delivered and felt like home. Everything was as described and convenient.

We arrived late on a snowy Friday evening, to a beautifully furnished and cozy cabin. The wood was readily available to stoke up a warm fire in the wood burning stove. The next day we awoke to a beautiful snow-covered view from the large windows. The kitchen had everything we needed, including new cookware and sparkling clean appliances. We were pleasantly surprised to find both a Ninja coffee bar and a Keurig coffee maker for us to use. The driveway was plowed well and clear instructions were welcoming our arrival. We felt very comfortable and "at home" at this cottage. The owners are kind and available. My 13 y/o son even enjoyed the robe that was supplied. This was such a cozy winter getaway, we would love to stay in the summer for a completely different getaway.

My girlfriend and I loved the little cabin, it was a perfect location with lots to do just minutes away!

It was everything we wanted and more. Very private and peaceful. Got to see a jack rabbit and a river otter come up the stream. Dont forget your bug spray and found many woodticks.

We loved our stay at the 3 little cottages! It has everything we needed and more. The lakeside area was perfect for our kids. We enjoyed the use of kayaks as well. The cottages were clean and comfortable and had all basic amenities covered. We enjoyed all the extra toys provided in the shed. Lori was so helpful and friendly. We were so sad to leave and can not wait to come back next year!

Beautiful view of the lake! Enjoyed watching the wild life especially the eagle. Great place to fish, canoe and use the paddle boat. The indoor space was clean and comfortable. The pool table was a big hit!

Cozy Cabin was exactly that, including its great location. It fit our winter needs for our mini vacation perfectly with all that snow!! Lauri was pleasant to talk with as well!

We loved our stay at Wildwood Lodge! The property is on a barely traveled road and feels secluded (only one neighbor is visible but it does not impede on enjoying any of the hang out areas). The house was really well appointed with amenities (towels, kitchen gadgets/utensils) and was kept very clean. Loved the oversized couch to hang out on and then front porch for morning coffee. The small front fenced in area was perfect for our pups. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Dorene and John’s was perfect! We traveled the half hour to ski at Nub’s and enjoyed being in the private atmosphere of the cabin. The hot tub topped it all off! We didn’t want to leave!

Such a peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed going out on the lake with the kayaks every morning. It is very close to a charming downtown Gaylord that has shopping and groceries close by. We had a great time.

So cozy and inviting! Perfect location, close to Mackinac Island without all the busyness of staying in a tourist location. Very clean and the private hot tub was a nice addition.

It was a great cabin with full of things provide to do to spend the days away from home. Enough to do for days we didnt have plans to enjoy some cards around the open fire or enjoy some time in the hot tub, or have a friendly game of corn hole

Our family absolutely loved staying at Clint's! The view was amazing! Everything was just perfect! Waking up to that view from the loft every morning was my favorite! 😍 There was plenty of room for 2 families to stay comfortably. Would love to stay again.

Penny was amazing! The cabin was perfect with everything we needed. We arrived way later than what we intended on due to traffic and Penny was in constant communication with us during our trip. She even left the porch and kitchen lights on for us since we were arriving well after dark. Penny lives right next door, so if we ever needed anything, it was taken care of almost immediately. She would even let us know when she was going to be gone for a bit so we were aware. I enjoyed sitting on the back patio each morning with my coffee listening to the birds and other wildlife. So relaxing! My husband and son took the row boat out a few times and went fishing. We even did a bonfire our last night there and made smores. Couldn't have asked for a better or more relaxing stay. Great little secluded getaway! Kyle was friendly and responsive and the place made us feel like we were in a cabin while also having all the modern amenities to not sacrifice on comfort. 10/10

We had an amazing weekend at The Lodge and will definitely try to come back to TC and stay there again. What a wonderful little cabin in the woods.

Beautiful secluded cabin. Haven’t heard whippoorwills sing in the evening like they do here. No traffic sounds, no neighbors, just peaceful quiet cabin. Very clean and well cared for.

Nice spot, perfect for our needs - fishing the au sable river nearby. Good beds and furniture. Kitchen was spartan but totally adequate. Out in the woods, whitetail deer wandering on property. Beautiful pine forest. Very secluded but easy to find.

My friends and I stayed in this BEAUTIFUL secluded cabin for the weekend, it was perfect! Got to enjoy coffee and games out on the GORGEOUS balcony! Very private, amazing view, and had a cute little nature walk with our own private entrance! I would definitely recommend staying here if you love the sounds of nature and that classic cabin feel ❤️
