The next largest town is Scheßlitz and is a few minutes' drive away. There are many shops and a few restaurants or pubs. You can take several hiking trails from the property. For example, to the Giechburg or the Gügel. Bamberg is also only a 15-minute drive away. The place is great. The house and garden are very well maintained. A grill and a fireplace are also available. You have your peace and quiet and can enjoy the view. The hosts are very friendly and helpful! If we are drawn to this spot in Germany again, we will be happy to book again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb while visiting our son, who is stationed at the nearby base. The apartment was in a quiet, charming part of town with plenty to do within walking distance. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything I needed to cook meals, including some basic spices like salt and pepper. I recommend checking out the kitchen before doing your grocery shopping, as we ended up with a few duplicate items. A quick tip: the bottom drawer under the oven is where you’ll find cooking utensils like large spoons. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay—we’d definitely book again!

We stayed at the turn of the year. The location requires a car The closer and wider area has plenty to offer especially for hiking enthusiasts. The apartment is rustically cozy. However, you should be good to walk due to the steep stairs. The kitchen equipment (dishes/cutlery) was a bit spartan. We would have liked a little more. As it is a courtyard, we were initially mistaken around looking for the key safe. But since we were sighted right away, the problem was quick to fix. Parking is easily possible. Very good shopping facilities are available in the neighboring village of Erbendorf.

It was a very nice stay,everything worked out great! The apartment was clean, check in perfect,great location to the old town (20 min walk) Saturday evening, the young people in the area were in a party mood, but Olga can't help it! Bayreuth is a vibrant,young city! Will come again any time!

We felt extremely comfortable in the very high-quality equipped and well-maintained apartment. Eva could only "add" something to the dishes. The only downside in the otherwise very quiet apartment despite the super-central location was the event location next door, where a party with very loud music took place until late at night on Saturdays. Here, the city should be a little stricter about enforcing quiet hours and noise levels. Nevertheless, we highly recommend the apartment and host Eva.

Beautiful and spacious upstairs apartment in a lovely quiet town. Great location if you have a car and want to drive around many towns outside of the Nürnberg area. Alex is an amazing host, he made time to come introduce himself and his family, and even upgraded his internet for us while we were there so it was fast enough for us to both work during our stay. Washer with a separate dryer is something we don't commonly have when traveling Europe and it was a game-changer for minimal packers like ourselves. We would love to stay here again on future travels!

Thank you Juliane for letting us spend 3 wonderful days in this beautiful, quiet and super equipped apartment. The full equipment of the kitchen incl. Minibar, coffee and tea, spices etc. is exceptional. We felt very comfortable, were delighted with the excellent location to explore Bayreuth and would come back again and again if we were drawn to Bayreuth. Juliane is a super professional host who doesn't leave the well-being of her guests to chance.
