well maintained sparkling neat and spaciuos place. loved my stay here. host is amazing good, humble and friendly and always realy to extend help. loved chit chating with him. location is also perfect. I highly recommend this place.

The Homestay - Humble. If you're seeking peace and tranquility, you must come here. Sit by the window and all you see is the lush green panorama, all you hear is the endless chirping of birds. And when you see the clouds rolling in through the valley, you may never want to leave. The Host - Like a brother, he took care of us. Prakash bhai was there when our flight was hours late and we arrived post midnight. He did complain a bit, but that's his pahadi sense of humour. Never said no to any requests/demands. He offered us snacks+coffee+rum, and did not charge a single penny more, even though all of it was out of his meal plan. And he suggested us hikes/treks around Gurdum. This is where Chandan bhai comes in. The man not only cooked for us, but was also our guide on a short but thrilling hike to Dumbarkhola falls. Amenities - Basic. Clean room, delicious food. If you're a yak/pork lover, ask for it. 3 meals, 2 tea+snacks per day is offered at ₹600. Come here, rediscover yourself.

Had the most amazing time at Norbu Gokyil in Darjeeling! The place is super peaceful, tucked away just enough from the town to feel calm but still close enough to everything. The best part though was the lovely family hosting us — all four of them were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely sweet. You really feel like you’re staying with friends rather than just renting a place. They were always happy to help, whether it was with local tips or just chatting over tea. And their three adorable dogs made the stay even better — super friendly and so cute! The room was clean, cozy, and perfect to come back to after a day of exploring. The food was also really good and homely — just what you’d want in a place like this. Would 100% recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful, heartwarming stay in Darjeeling. Already missing it!

Nice location, peaceful and stress-free. One can explore nearby places by walking. Abhishek is a friendly person who can suggest you activities basis your preference. When we visiting the place, renovation was ongoing and he had only one staff to support him. Due to which at times very limited items in meals. However, there are nearby local cafes one can try out for snacks. Overall I was looking for a calm place and couldn't find a better place to stay by the riverside. Electricity was on and off and there is no power backup currently. Keep this in mind while planning your travel.

Cozy stay with amazing views once you reach there

It was like a home away from home .very cordial and heartwarming upholding the value of athithi devo bhava in words and spirit.

Where to begin… Staying at Sristi’s farm was such an authentic and unforgettable experience. I had the chance to live alongside Sristi and her lovely family, and it gave me a genuine glimpse into their way of life. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home — Sristi has such a warm, welcoming energy, and we connected really naturally. She quickly felt more like a friend than a host. We shared some amazing moments together, including a trip to a beautiful river. There’s so much to do around the farm — whether you’re in the mood for hiking, exploring the nearby village (don’t miss the best samosa in West Sikkim!), or simply unwinding and soaking in the peaceful nature all around. And I can’t forget to mention the food — absolutely delicious, every single meal! Needless to say, I highly recommend staying here. It’s a special place, and one I’ll carry with me for a long time. The place was absolutely magical! The house was super cozy and good for a group stay. Prayag is an absolutely wonderful host and helps to take care of everything. The view from the place is beautiful , rooms are cozy and clean. Overall - good stay and Would definitely like to come back here :)
