Beautiful beachside stay in one of my favorite corners of New York's shore. We could walk or bike over to the nearest beach, or bike over to Point Lookout. Standouts were the saline pool in the backyard (we used it every day), the extra sleep-space provided by the airbed, and the little things like the use of the bikes so we could get around so easily. We'd love to return!

The place was exactly what we wanted: comfortable, private, with everything we needed. She even left us water bottles in the fridge, coffee, and toothbrushes/toothpaste! It was spotless. Would definitely stay there again.

I can't say enough good things about Judelyne and her guest cottage. Her communication was timely, she responded quickly to our messages and checked in to see if we needed anything and that everything was satisfactory (which it was). Check in was easy and she was flexible with our later check in time. The property is in close proximity to parkways which made for easy travel throughout the island as well as a grocery store and Walgreens pharmacy. It is in walking distance to a Dunkin Donuts and 7-11. The guest house was as described, clean and in a quiet location. I highly recommend staying here and will again next time we visit!

The place was clean, spacious, and had a lot more than expected (large empty fridge, plates bowls, utensils, towels, extra blankets, soaps and lotions). It was easy to access and the instructions for check in and check out were easy to follow. I live in the area, but I wanted a place for friends to stay nearby. They loved the place too and would stay here again. Excellent price, easy access, great location, and overall beautiful and modern. There were a few bugs, but it's Spring time and it's common for them to be entering around this time of year (they're entering in my house too). The beds, towels, and entire place was very clean. It rained unexpectedly on one of the days during our stay and we were given a mat for our shoes so we could dry our feet. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who is staying for the malls or for family in the area. Even if you do not have a guest room yourself, definitely have them stay here. It's like a hotel, but better :)

One Bedroom Getaway

My daughter and I both enjoyed staying at Tara’s! She was such a responsive host before and during our stay with anything we needed. We had our privacy and never met in person, but knew we could count on her if we needed her. Felt safe, secure and very cozy. Bed was very comfortable! There was quite a heat wave when we were there so it was a little stuffy, but air conditioner did work great so can’t really complain about anything!
