Sunnanäng Hilltop - cozy with amazing views

Here, it's easy to thrive! The bed is freshly made with sheets when you arrive and clean towels are provided. This is a truly cozy 27-square-meter (290-square-foot) cottage with a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen, as well as a 29-square-meter (310-square-foot) veranda with a magnificent view of Lake Siljan. The cottage is located on a private property (5,000 sqm) in the beautiful village of Sunnanäng, Leksand. The village is located along Siljan, 10 minutes to central Leksand and equally close to Tällberg. There are nice walking paths along Lake Siljan nearby, both summer and winter.

Here, it feels like you're in the countryside, but still in town. You live in peace and quiet, without TV, by Lake Varpan with only 2.5 km to Lugnet's ski stadium and 3 km to Falun of Falun. You have 600 meters to the forest and Lugnet Nature Reserve. Swim in the lake from the jetty in the summer or take a dip in the ice hole in winter. Wood-fired sauna is available, bring your own wood if you want to use the sauna. In winter, if the weather and wind allow, there may be a plowed ice rink/walking path on the lake, and ski trails are usually prepared.

Hike in our own blueberry forest and collect fresh eggs for breakfast. On the small family-owned farm there are chickens, sheep and our own farm treasure, Melker. 15 minutes into Falun by car. Room with kitchenette, 25 square meters. Bathroom with shower. A double bed (120 cm wide) and sofa bed for 2 people. The accommodation is maximized for 2 adults, but there is also room for 2 small children. Kitchenette equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker. TV and Wi-Fi. Towels and bed linen are included. You will also have access to the laundry room located in the main building. We charge a cleaning fee of SEK 200 for bed linen, etc. However, we expect you to do a fine cleaning before you check out.

Gammelgården is located in a nice village called Övermyra/Österberg, 2 km east of Storvik. Distance to nearby towns is Sandviken 13 km, Kungsberget 18 km, Gävle 36 km. Bus stop, 4-minute walk. The timber house is in Ottsjö Jämtland and was saved from being torn down when it was moved here. The interior design is unique with Swedish historical furniture and objects.
