Family-friendly vacation rentals in Benzie County

Scott's camper has mold in the bedroom all down the wall on the right side of the bed could not sleep in that room also he would turn the heat down to 60 at night through his phone and made me agree to a temperature to keep the camper at yet still kept turning down heat our entire stay in the middle of the night would wake up shaking cold. maintenance was supposed to do 4 deep cleaning never once did he do his job half-ass accomodations truly feel disrespected even waisting my money on this place. for Scott to be a pasture of a church and spoke to me the way he did speaks volumes. John 3:16

This is challenging…Michigan has a vibe & an energy that is indescribable…This Airbnb exceeds all expectations! Love this place! As a disabled veteran… I yearn to move to Michigan…I honestly do not want to leave this review because I do not want tourist to find out about this lil private secret place! Over the top amazing place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable and adorable! Seth and Kelsey were outstanding hosts and my husband and I were so impressed, these two should give lessons on how to be the perfect hosts!!! The food was amazing and they also slipped in a little birthday surprise for me. The property was so well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were a welcome surprise and we enjoyed meeting other guests fixing s’mores!! I forgot to sign the guest book so will be back soon!!

Collin's place was perfect for our family's stay. We had a 16 month old and he had plenty of room to play. The location was perfect, only a 2 minute drive to park and go skiing. I loved that there were fans for the bedrooms lol! We went to a local bar and grill called Geno's Sports Bar and the food was Excellent! There is plenty to do at Crystal Mountain and Collin's place is a perfect spot to enjoy all the outdoor activities!!

Loved our stay! We visited Scott's place for the Michigan Ironman 70.3 race. Space was great for our mix of adults and kids, and the kids LOVED the basement area with the projector screen and ping pong table!

This was the perfect location to stay for our fall golf trip to Arcadia Bluffs. A beautiful home less than 20 minutes to the course. Highly recommended.

K Haven took me back to the days of summer camp as soon as I stepped in the door. The smell of the wood and a little bit of mustiness was reminiscent of days spent on lakes, playing games, group meals, silly songs, etc. The cabin does not have a large footprint but the spaces are thoughtful and well organized with lots of hooks, shelves, and drawers for your stuff. The kids shoved their suitcases under the bunks, just like camp! This was one of the more interesting and unique places I've ever stayed in on AirBnb. It's well located to all of the sights the area has to offer, but you will need a car. We had a great week and enjoyed our time. Our kids especially loved catching toads, having s'mores, and firing up the sauna on a rainy day.

Great location, perfect for a family vacation

Great location and within easy short drives to many attactions in the area to include canoeing, cycling, hiking, Crystal Lake, Lake Michigan plus local bars and restaurants.

We loved this place. Despite being 100 years old it's solid and comfortable. Terrible weather came in off the lake and we were able to watch it snug inside. Comfortable beds. Some were quite firm, others deeper and softer, so we were able to choose. Loved being able to walk to breakfast in the morning and the brewery across the street in the evening.

We absolutely loved our stay at the tiny house for 2 nights. The photos reflected the physical space inside but it’s the welcoming feel when you enter that makes it even better. Everything you need for a comfy stay. Lisa was a very caring host making sure we had everything we needed and checked in to see how we were going to. Loved staying at Betty and Marty’s place. The lofted guest space is so comfortable and cozy. Betty and Marty themselves are incredibly friendly and helpful. They shared some fruits and veggies with us, and welcomed our pets with open arms. This is truly a gem of Benzonia!

We had a great stay! Lori was very responsive and flexible with checking in/out. She was quick to respond and very helpful. The house was spotless and bathrooms were nice. The location was perfect for skiing on/off the hills! Beautiful view of the area from the house. We look forward to staying at this place again!

Wonderful location and perfect accommodations for 4 women to share some time together. Binged Netflix one night on the smart TV. Toasty campfires in the fire pit the other 2 nights. Bonus - Northern Lights over Little Platte Lake!!

Great place and would definitely stay there again. Very spacious, nice bedrooms that all had separate air conditioners (great for spring to fall), and close to the nearby highways to nearby towns.

Adorable cozy cottage. We fit 4 ladies comfortably and could easily fit 6 with each getting our own bed. More for couples/kids. Beach area and lake are awesome. Loved that it came with paddle board, paddle boat, canoe, kayak, beach chairs. Fire pit was perfect. Secluded and halfway btwn cottage and beach, loved it! Thank you Karen!!

We had a wonderful stay, location was perfect and the home was very comfortable! Encountered a few problems with directions and a leak in the bathroom but owner was quick to respond. Would recommend

This place is gorgeous. It’s nestled under the tree canopy and offers breathtaking surroundings and views of the stars. There were five women in our party; each of us were very happy with the accommodations!

Our second year at the charming cottage. A heavenly retreat with just the right blend of activity and quietude to truly reset and rejuvenate. The cottage views are tremendous and it feels like one is living in a tree house! Cozy and homey throughout - the beds are comfortable, the kitchen functional, the living room inviting. We will always cherish are time at the cottage!

I am a woman of words and I am at a loss to describe how wonderful this home and our stay was. I knew the moment I saw the listing that it’d be perfect for my husband and I, our three young children (3,4,7) , and my parents visiting from Florida. The location is between several desirable destinations and the site itself is serene and peaceful. While I love words, I am a visual designer and I must say this home was like Christmas for me- every detail thoughtfully and elegantly considered. It pairs my favorite things- form and function, nature and comfort. The pine trees made you feel connected and the amenities were beyond cozy. From the cookware to the dining recommendations, the books and records (!), we savored it all. And our kids felt more than at home as well! The basement was an indoor playground for them to enjoy their brisk spring break. Thank you for making this such a special trip we will recount for many years! Highly recommend.
