We fully enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. Karlåke and Gunnel are super nice person. They are very helpful and very responsive. The house has enough space for more than 6 persons. The view is amazing from the outer room and also from the living room. The area is very calm, it is ultimate for relaxing. We wish to visit again.

We had a short visit over the weekend at the place - which is in an absolute idyllic location - too short time to enjoy all the amazing things it has to offer. Host simply couldn’t be more helpful and pleasent, which made the stay an absolute blast. All facilities are top notch, hosts involvement incredibly professional, which made our experience one to desire repeating. We really enjoyed our stay at Sofia's and Per's vacation house. It was a great base for exploring the area with all its lakes and forests on gravel bikes (which we rented from The Dalsland Experience, also in Bengtsfors). It's just perfect if you love outdoor activities and want a comfortable place to stay.

Amazing place for a nice getaway for the weekend! During the winter, the view of the forests and the clear sky with starry nights were very beautiful!! Catarina was very friendly, communicative and flexible about our checkin.

The property has a great view of the lake and is very quiet. The area offers many opportunities for hiking and exploring. About 5 minutes walk away is the "beach" for the lake. Direct access to the lake (e.g. for fishing is about 1 minute away. You just have to go down the little hill. The nearest shopping is about 10 minutes by car. The hot tub is also highly recommended, even if it is inexpensive, as it must be booked in addition. The house itself is relatively small but perfectly adequate for 4 people as you have a very large terrace. The only negative was that the house is very cluttered with personal belongings that need to be cleared away first. Unfortunately, there are hardly any free lockers, as about 95% of the lockers are private or were filled with stuff. Therefore, we had no closet in one room and a small compartment in the second.

We stayed at cozy Vänna Gård for a weekend and it was really a super cozy experience. Johanna and Kristoffer were very helpful and showed us the whole farm. We rented canoes and paddled into Gustavsfors which was a very cozy place. Cooked food on an open fire but also had access to a hot plate and fridge in nearby houses. Can really recommend this place if you want to have a holiday out of the ordinary. We will definitely be back! /Elin and Jacob

Very cozy nice house with modern facilities and comfortable double bed and linens Clean and fresh. Not so affordable for me who traveled alone but if you are several, it's a good price. Would love to come back. Very nice with breakfast in the fridge as many others mentioned. The only thing that was less good was that I had difficulty sitting comfortably at the kitchen table and getting room with my incredibly muscular thighs under the table so I had to sit a bit away to fit. Recommended. Very nice and clean accommodation.

I completely agree with previous visitors' praise about Heidi and Mats on Kronkullen! Their place is absolutely magical and we were so warmly welcomed and well taken care of 💖 Cooking by the fire, sauna and swimming from the jetty by the lake, sleeping under the starry skies and treetops, enjoying luxury breakfast at the sauna, paddling a turn in the lake with the big pocket close… ☺️All this was such a lisa for the soul that I recommend everyone to come here as soon as you can! The place is exactly as described and as shown in the photos. Staying in the house is like stepping back in time. The amenities are basic but functional. Nothing is missing. Great is the private jetty 20 steps away and the use of the boat. We felt very comfortable at Ninni's.

Very nice and well-equipped house, both regarding kitchen equipment and for activities (toys, games and more). An absolutely fantastic location with space to hang out both in the garden, on the porch, jetty and inside the home. We were a large family and were also able to invite friends to celebrate a holiday.

We spent 3 days with Erik and were totally satisfied! The little house has everything you need and was exactly what we expected. It is located on Eric's farm where sheep and horses live, which you can visit at the fence, we particularly liked that! Erik was a very nice and accommodating host! :)

We have visited Kaisa's cottage before and we will do it again! Kaisa is helpful, service minded and really nice! The place is incredibly nice and the forests and water are lovely. The water the cabin is located by is one of Sweden's better fishing lakes actually. We send a big thank you to Kaisa who allows us to make a really nice tradition of getting there every autumn to fish and pick mushrooms. If you or your family are looking for a charming cottage next to a lovely forest full of mushrooms or one of Sweden's better fishing waters, or if you just want some relaxing days of swimming and barbecues, then Smultronstellet is the place for you! 5 out of 5 stars.

Lovely cosy cottage with private parking, comfy beds and a short distance to walk to the supermarket, restaurants and the lake for a swim. It was also the perfect place to explore other parts of Dalsland. Klara was very efficient in her communication. We had a wonderful time here!

The time we spent in this place was wonderful. On the first day, we met Jenny, who told us what to expect in the area. We encountered a moose and organized a quick walk to the lake. A very pleasant detail was the small treats left by the owner. The following days were filled with family trips around the area, boating, campfires, and visits to the nearby town. Over these few days, we managed to relax, and we left the area with reluctance.

Thank you for a nice time in Sweden. We enjoyed the accommodation very much. A great location right by the forest. Every morning and evening deer were visiting. A great kitchen with lots of space for cooking and cozy living room for many people. Fireplace room, cinema, there was nothing missing. A short way to the lake to a great swimming spot or lock cafe. Good starting point for activities.

Spectacular place because of the lock! Saw a ship on arrival. Great starting point to explore all of Dålsland. Jogging in the morning and fishing in the evening upstream. Emma helped us out once, thank you! And Emma was very helpful and nice anyway, even though we never met her. The cabin is decorated with taste and has everything (bring your own bed linen😅)! The house was very sweet and perfect for a short break for a family. Fengersfors is a pleasant little village, and we really enjoyed using the sauna by the lake which Gaby helped the fix. There's clearly more going on in the village in the summer but there's still plenty of nice walks to do in the area. Gaby was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Top marks!

We loved our stay at Astrid's place. It is a nice spacious house with beautiful spacious rooms. It is beautifully situated the water with a spacious garden. We were able to cycle in the area and had a nice time!

Pernilla's house is everything our family needed to relax and unwind. The house is even more beautifully and stylishly decorated than it is described. The beautiful house is super cozy, stylish, and the location must be the most beautiful in all of Sweden. The house is on a slight hill and the view from there of the lake and the surroundings are stunningly beautiful. We have forever held this place in our hearts. Partly due to the super sweet parents of Pernilla, Anne-Marie and Morgan. They made our stay even more fun because of the many stories we were told and the help they offered. Our kids love them and still talk about the lake house. In short, we felt in the seventh heaven that we had the opportunity to stay in Pernilla's house. We will definitely come back but for a longer period. We stayed here for 3 days now and believe me , that's not enough in this paradise. We give Pernilla and her parents 20 stars!
