Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Ben Ohau

This house is just a 27-minute drive outside of Tekapo. We were initially looking into staying at Tekapo but didn’t manage to find “the one” so we explored the towns just outside and found this beautiful place. This house is in the perfect location! This house was well thought of all the floor to ceiling windows just makes you enjoy the view. It snowed on the first night and it felt like we were inside a snow globe - magical! Beds were comfortable, bathrooms had all we needed and the kitchen is well equipped. Definitely worth the drive and worth every penny. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back! ❤️

What a wonderful house! We arrived at the beginning of a rain storm, and we were so happy to see the heat was already on. It was a nice surprise to walk into a cozy warm house. The next morning we woke to find the mountains all around covered in snow. The views from the house were spectacular. Make sure you bring food when you come, the nearest stores are about 25-30mins away. If you’re anything like us, once you are settled in for the night you don’t want to drive an hour for dinner. The home has a nicely stocked kitchen with most things you need to cook a meal. There was plenty of firewood to keep a nice fire going all day, and the hot tub out back was quite enjoyable.

Thank you Simon for offering this incredible space. I stayed for one night with my partner and we both absolutely loved it. It has everything you need, new washer / dryer, fully furnished and modern kitchen, warm heat pump and an very comfortable bed but beyond this, it has an intangible cozy feeling with the wood fire and my favourite outdoor bathtub. The home was very warm and it was -6 degrees outside. The bathtub was the cherry on top. Very hot and spacious, easily fitting 2 guests. Awesome contrast with the cold outside. Simon as a host was fantastic. Responded fast to any questions we had. Simon went out of his way to help melt the water that had frozen the bath taps, checking multiple times on the day of our visit. Really appreciated that as I feel other hosts would’ve left it frozen. Cheers Simon!

Marilyn’s place is amazing! Located 15 minutes outside of Twizel, it is completely worth the drive. The quiet, peaceful, privacy of their home nestled against the hills was a dream. We adored the hot tub and stargazing at night. Everything was perfectly clean and very comfortable. Marilyn and her husband met us upon arrival to explain the ins and outs of the place, and they are just the nicest people. We would unreservedly book this home again!

A perfect place to stay for a weekend in Tekapo. A five minute walk to the church and a ten minute walk to the centre. A great added extra with the hot tub. Thank you for having us

We had such a wonderful stay at Ohana in Lake Tekapo! The apartment was beautifully modern, stylishly decorated, and felt like a true home away from home. Everything was spotless and well thought out, with great attention to detail. One of the highlights for us was how warm and cozy the place was — the heaters worked perfectly, which made a big difference on those chilly Tekapo nights! The location was peaceful and the whole experience was seamless from check-in to check-out. Thank you to the Ohana hosts for such a relaxing and memorable stay — we’d absolutely love to come back!

Gavin & Mandy are amazingly kind and generous hosts, and they are sharing a stunning home and property which went way beyond meeting our expectations! There are gorgeous views in every direction you look! It is a peaceful location and obvious attention to detail has been given with all the comforts and supplies one might require. The hot tub soothes the body and soul after trekking about all day and we enjoyed turning the lights off and stargazing! of course, listening to the flowing stream and viewing expansive snow-capped mountains was our major thrill! Very comfortable beds, soft cozy bedding and lovingly chosen furniture, round out a superb stay! We are very grateful to have had this wonderful experience at Lucy's cottage! With grateful hearts to you both!

Paula is a very friendly person. She take us walk around this wonderful place. Here is very big, clean and beautiful.Besides, Paula offer us the tennis place, which let me have fun. We also have a chat in the night. I really love the puppy of Paula. She’s soooo cute🥹. A good memories for me. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely stunning property in a great location as a base for Lake Pukaki/Mt Cook etc. we were very lucky to witness snowfall which made staying here such a magical experience. Property is exactly as pictured and described - super cosy with good heating during winter too.

This place is fantastic. The hits are wonderfully set out in private locations. They are clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable and the hot tub is highly recommended. We would definitely stay again of we were passing through Fairlie.

Fantastic place to stay! Located close to Lake Tekapo and lots of other beautiful locations. The house is in a dark sky area and without clouds would offer spectacular views of the night sky whilst enjoying the hot tub. We had everything we needed and would highly recommend this quirky house and had great fun exploring the area and playing the games in the upstairs room. Thank you so much 😊

Loved turning up on cold winters day to the hut where they had stoked up the fire before we arrived so it was very cosy....and fired up the hot tubs so we could enjoy these too! Many thanks for an enjoyable stay :)
