I had a wonderful stay at the Mulberry Cottage. I felt safe and right at home. Before coming to South Africa, I was a bit nervous/apprehensive, but those fears quickly went away after staying here. During my stay, Christopher was the main host who looked after my stay. He was very responsive to my questions. Felt well taken care of here (especially when I started to take antimalarials and was having bad side effects), Christopher checked in to see if I was okay/feeling better. This personal touch definitely made things a lot better! The breakfast was also welcomed, tasty, and flexible (which I appreciated). Thanks for a wonderful stay. Hope to be back here again when I’m in town!

We had a wonderful stay here - twice! We loved the pool and cozy, home. This place is a home that is occasionally on airbnb, like staying at a good friend's house instead of a house that's 100% all-the-time rented out. We liked that home-y vibe and it felt really comfortable for our our group of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids). Michael was super helpful and flexible with our checking in/out times, the couple that lives on the property were very helpful and friendly, and the dogs pretty great too. It's on a quiet street tucked away from traffic noise. It was a great base to visit lots of places around Cape Town, enjoy Hout Bay, and just to relax.

Ethel was a lovely host and very accommodating. She made arrangements to provide everything I needed during my stay. I also opted to pay a small fee for her home cooked meals, it was so convenient to know I’d be returning to a warm meal each evening - freed me up to focus on what I needed to do. I was in town for an exam and needed time to rest and study and I found Ethel and her husband warm/friendly but also very respectful of my space. Their dog blaze was also adorable and well-mannered. I’d recommend this place to anyone needing a room in Cape Town.

My partner and I stayed one night at Paula’s, along with our extended family, and the guest house accommodated all 7 adults perfectly! All guest bedrooms offered excellent facilities and luxury. The garden and mountain views are simply stunning and the swim in the pool was a great way to start the day! The breakfast offering was delicious and catered for everyone’s tastes. Paula was a very warm and hospitable host and the service was of a very high standard.

Including all the morning chats over breakfast with Heidi and fascinating stories from Russel. ABSOLUTE highlight was playing with Kimmy and Jayde every day… and xmas cookies and tricks… Thanks soooooo much Heidi, Russel, Kimmy and Jayde, can’t wait to see you guys again when I come to Cape Town. This was a great, spacious apartment within walking distance to the V&A. Shops and restaurants just next door as well which was great. The apartment was safe, quiet and very comfortable. Concierge and car parking were great. It’s a bit rough around the edges in places and water pressure in shower isn’t great. The electricity meter also makes you feel like you are clock watching - we had to ask for more electricity (which was provided) but was stress we didn’t need. Overall though a great stay.
