Wonderful location and fabulous space! Super for our family of four adults and a 2 year old! Amazing host met us at the door! Thank you so much! Will come again!

River Cottage was such a gem! The surroundings were like a jungle, the grounds were beautiful and there was fun activities like board games and kayaks. We were even able to borrow a fishing pole and caught a fish! I enjoyed walking around the farm property and river area. My favorite part was access to a lookout tower off the deck. I made my latte each morning and climbed up there to enjoy it while watching and listening to all the birds. Book this place, it's magical!

Our time at the Shearer’s cottage was absolutely magical. My husband and I stayed with our three children for three nights. We were all utterly delighted when we walked in the door - lots of excited gasps from everyone - the surroundings are gorgeous, the property is thoughtfully appointed and spotlessly clean… far enough from the madding crowd to feel peaceful and secluded, yet still a very convenient drive to Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. Ian and Anna were very friendly and communicative and made us feel totally welcome. Allow time to make the most of this beautiful place. The dawn chorus is glorious! Make sure you opt in for the spa by the river. We really hope we can visit again. Thank you so much Ian and Anna.

The cottage was perfect for our family of four. The kids loved all the treats and thoughtful touches. The location was a couple of minute walk to coffee, restaurants, groceries and the water. And a few minute drive to beautiful beaches. The small pool and hot tub were also great for when it was too cold for the beach.

Great spot in the heart of Russell! The villa was lovely. A working spa would have been the cherry on the cake.

The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

3rd time staying and it won’t be the last. It has become our family home away from home. Mixed weather allowed us to enjoy the beach for a couple of days before braving the bad weather to sightsee further. Location allows for a great mix of relaxation and being a tourist in the beautiful north. Thanks again Jo-Ann and we will be back.

We didn’t want to leave! Your warm welcome on our arrival, accompanied by a gorgeous handwritten note, warm sourdough bread, fresh milk and freshly baked walnut chocolate chip biscuits, perfectly epitomised our stay at Cowshed Cottage! We loved the well-thought-out decor, the delightful linens on the comfy bed, and all the welcoming nooks that begged us to enjoy them with a hot drink and a good book in such a peaceful setting. The Cowshed Cottage, and you both, are the blissful warm hug that had us breathing deeply and releasing any stress we didn’t know we needed. One night was not enough! With a longer stay, we might just feel inclined to try out the spectacular gym, although I think cosying down with a glass of something delicious and another book might win out. We can’t wait to return and we will definitely be staying longer next time. Thank you both again for everything.

Our sailing team of students and adults stayed at this beach house. Everything was as we expected and everyone enjoyed their stay! Thanks for always being so resposive and communictaive. Much appreciated! We would highly recommend this beach house!

Chris gave us a great welcome with a bottle of wine on arrival. She was very accommodating and let our kids feed the alpacas which was a great experience for them. Tidy house, very short drive to 2 great beaches.

Josie's Bach was perfect for our little family getaway. The drums and other games provided hours of entertainment for our daughter. The highlights were being so close to the beach and the night sky. We were lucky to get a clear night and we huddled outside, pointing out constellations to our 11 year old. The Bach was also very warm, despite it being very late into Autumn. Josie also provided things for breakfast and baking. The brownie was so yummy! Thank you again !!!!

If it were possible we'd give this place 10 stars! You won't regret staying here, at your own private slice of Taupo Bay paradise. Whether you're just a couple or with a big group of friends, Gary and Debbie's place is perfect for you. Brilliant communication from area experts. We hope to be back soon 😊

We had a very enjoyable few days in this lovely place. Great views, peaceful surroundings and comfortable, spacious accommodation. Steve was a good host, friendly and helpful. We loved exploring this part of the world and would happily come back to the area and the house.

This Air BnB is fabulous. Full of character and Kiwis! Beds are very comfortable. Perfect location and great view from the top garden. A very warm welcome from the host, James, with personalised messages and suggestions. Would recommend!

Nous étions un couple avec un enfant de 5 ans. le cottage est parfaitement équipé dans tous les domaines:literie, ustensile de cuisine, vaisselle, salle de bain, lessive, il y a même quelques jouets; tout y est. Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location just out of Whangarei. It has a full oven and microwave so easy for self-catering. Bridget was a great host - very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

We had the pleasure of staying at John and Cornine's place after an unexpected event at our previous accommodation. It was during the Easter public holiday, and we were traveling with our dog, so we honestly didn’t think we’d be able to find anywhere suitable last minute. To our surprise and gratitude, John and Cornine kindly made an exception to their no-pets policy and welcomed us in, allowing our holiday to continue stress-free. Their home is sunny, peaceful, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s also just a couple of minutes' drive to the beach. John and Cornine were exceptional hosts—warm, communicative, and incredibly responsive. When we experienced a sudden power blowout, they immediately came over with a torch and water box, which was such a relief. They also shared fantastic recommendations for local eateries and things to do, which really enhanced our stay. We’re so grateful for their kindness and hospitality.

This is a well kept home which outshines the photos in real life. Beautifully clean with comfortable furnishings. Lovely natural linens on the beds. We are sensitive to fragrance & perfumes and there was minimal use of scents here so literally a breath of fresh air. Thank you Bruce! Very generous and considerate hosts. Lovely outdoor plantings of camelias that were in flower around the boundary. Wonderful to be near the stand of Totara trees. The property is close to the road, but the odd bit of traffic noise was not a disturbance. Would be happy to come here and stay again.

Linda’s place is beautifully organised and very clean. Lovely starry nights there. I didn’t explore the surrounds as I was too busy helping set up for my sons wedding, etc. next time I’m in Rangitane I’ll visit her studio 🩵
