Family-friendly vacation rentals in Bay City

Las Palmas was very spacious and had an abundance of beds to accommodate our large family. We had a couple of hiccups, but Amanda was always very responsive and helpful. This was a great learning experience for me as I continue to plan our family reunion each year. It was also a convenient drive to the beach! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. The backyard was our favorite highlight of the trip.

Every thing was perfect

Great location relative to beach, nature, peacefulness. Western end of Galveston is beautiful. Condo itself was pleasant -- especially the balcony overlooking the ocean. Front room was cozy and kitchen had everything needed. The actual condo cul de sac was sort of an empty-feeling space, but that is compensated for by access to beach club quarter of a mile down the road and, of course, the private stretch of oceanfront there as well. Access to beach is walkable, though only by highway, so you should drive. Interior was clean -- overall, a lovely stay. I took personal retreat here for four days and was thankful for the peace and quiet, but probably best used for a family/group vacation for close friends.

We stayed at Tammy's place with our 2 grandsons. It is a lovely place. The house was spotless and in a great location. Our grandsons spent so much time on the beach which is just steps away from the house. My husband and I could sit on the covered porch and watch them dig for hours. Of course, we were right there with them when they wanted to go boogie boarding (3 boards available at the house). The house was well stocked with dishes, glasses and pots. Tammy gave us recommendations on where to grocery shop and even a nice restaurant down the road. If I had a question, she was very responsive and answered quickly. The hot tub was an added bonus which we all enjoyed at night. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We certainly hope to be able to visit again. Thank you!

IT WAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL PLACE VERY FAMILY ORIENTED HAD A GREAT TIME…

The property is beautiful… there is a view from every window and balcony. You can see the ocean and the bay… unique for Galveston Island. There is a pond directly outside and with the fountain, which kept mosquitos away. The kitchen is good for entertaining a family, and there is a formal and outdoor dining area. I would suggest bringing a bed pillow, high quality pan, and extra roll of paper towels. Alex was nice and responsive. The resort is family oriented and the quiet was well worth the 20 minute drive. We will stay with this host again!

I can’t say enough about our stay and the hosts! They made a very special trip extraordinary!! The home is beautiful, safe, and a Shangri-La to me!! Placement of rooms are wonderful and afforded privacy with other guests. The saltwater pool was wonderful and with shade from trees made it very comfortable on hot, summer days! Communications with hosts felt personal and was much appreciated. This was my first VRBO / Airbnb experience and what a wonderful one it was!! Had to leave a day early due to the hurricane, yet again, the host expressed genuine concern for us. Very clean and comfortable! It was hard to leave!

Beautiful view of the ocean! We went in the early spring, so some of the beach days were a little chilly. Outdoor shower and hot tub were perfect to clean off and warm up. Plenty of space for our big family and dogs. Jessica was so helpful and responsive, and the house had everything we needed. It was an absolute dream!

We celebrated a family birthday in this lovely beach home. It has a fantastic location - just steps from the beach, with great views of the ocean from the decks and front windows. Hosts provided all necessary amenities including bed linens, and bath and beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc. Terry and Katherine communicated well and were prompt to respond. We felt safe in this community and would definitely stay here in the future.

I've stayed here twice now. Tom & Rose are superhosts. If you need anything, they are very responsive. The suite is private and has everything you could need. The location is beautiful and quiet. This is more like staying at a private estate property. The landscape is beautiful and Tom is often outside working on grounds. The suite is always clean, neat and edited. I highly recommend staying here.

A real home with attention to detail for long and short stay. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Comfortable, homely furniture and furnishings. Great in-house laundry facilities. The house is in a quiet street and 10 min walk to the beach. The host is delightful, proactive and responsive. Would love to stay again if my travels take me to West Galveston. A real pleasure. The location was beautiful, peaceful & relaxing. We have never used a roku TV before so I had to message Leigh Ann & Rocky. They responded quickly & were very helpful. They were also able to help me out with a kennel for my dog for a day. This was the 1st air bnb we have ever stayed at, and boy are we glad we did! Highly recommend this location. So nice to be able to hang out on a porch & let our dog play in the yard all day every day. Definitely beat being couped up in a hotel for a week.

Couldn't asked for a better bang for your buck!! We went there to fish and that's what we did!! The fishing pier was nice! Right off the water and close to the beach. The neighbor's where extremely friendly and helpful! They treated us like we where right at home! The house was great it had plenty of room to sleep. The decor was very cute!! I would love to come back again!!

Enjoyed our stay - great location that worked well for us as we had family in the area. Several restaurants and grocery stores etc close by. Would definitely stay again.

Very nicely designed place, good instructions and a great location

I booked this house last minute due to the original house I booked got canceled by the tropical storm. This house had great views from the patio. Also the beach is walking distance. The host was quick to respond. Upon time to check out I realized I lost my wedding ring upon messaging the host after checkout to let her know, her cleaners found it and she called me right away to let me know it was found. Thankfully I was able to go back to the house to get it. I will be booking this house again! Needless to say book the house it’s perfect for a family get away! Best experience I have had!

Nice place to stay around the area, it’s peaceful and protected by a nearby police station. Kemah board walk is really close, recommend staying here for activity.

Loved this space, it was very peaceful. The condo was spacious and well stocked with a lot of extras that were a nice touch. My family likes to enjoy the beach and it was very convenient for spending them there. The beach was not overly crowded and was exactly what we were looking for. The basketball court was nearby, and my family enjoyed having close access to it as an added bonus.

I really enjoyed staying Sam's place. Sam always responded quickly, and also proactively checked on me. they added more bathroom compared to last year! I loved it! so I can stay with my friends without any complaints of privacy lol. Squeaky beds were entertaining at night. overall, I would like to stay again!!!!! Thank you, Sam!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful water front canal home. We had 10 people total and never one time felt crowded at the home. We caught a couple of Redfish and a few crabs right outside the front door. We really enjoyed our stay and my extended family from Mississippi were very impressed.
