Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Bathurst Regional Council

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Millthorpe at Paul’s cottage. It was cosy, had old world charm, everything we needed was supplied and everything was spotlessly clean - the house, linen, kitchen. The only down side was that most shops are only open at the end of the week and weekend in Millthorpe and we arrived on a Tuesday. But we still loved the quiet town and peaceful garden at the cottage very much. We would certainly stay there again!

If you're looking to stay in Bathurst this is the place to be. It's close enough to town to be able to do anything easily, but just far enough to actually feel like you're not in the city and have a beautiful restful time. The garden is magnificent, and sprawling. It is expansive and wraps around the property making it feel like a little oasis from the rest of the world. The bonus kitchen garden is clearly cared for and built up over years. The house had everything you could need and was so easy to be in - we had kids and many adults but at no time did we feel boxed in or on top of each other. Every room was generous and comfortable - the sheets and mattresses extra comfortable! We are already planning on when we can come back again as this really was the perfect easy and amazingly comfortable place to stay. Thank you so much for having us.

We decided to visit Orange on short notice, finalizing our plans just a day before making the booking. Initially, our research didn’t yield the perfect spot, but the moment we came across this property on Airbnb, we knew it was the one. It looked stunning online, and upon arrival, it exceeded our expectations. The place was absolutely beautiful—serene, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable. The cottage we stayed in was spotless, and despite it being Christmas, the host was wonderfully responsive, ensuring our stay was seamless. The kids had a fantastic time enjoying the board games provided, but what truly stood out for them was the opportunity to interact with the friendly animals and birds on the property. They delighted in feeding the goats and donkeys and were thrilled to see kangaroos, turkeys, rabbits, and the majestic peacocks and peahens. This experience was undoubtedly the highlight of their trip. It was a wonderful holiday—calming, memorable, and full of unique experiences.

As always David was the perfect host and his home was warm and inviting. Everything we needed to make it feel like a home away from home was there. We have always enjoyed going to David’s home and will continue to go back. It is a happy place for our family where we never run out of things to do and is always a fun filled weekend. Thankyou David for making it so easy and allowing the whole family to come together for a fun filled weekend. We look forward to many more visits to your beautiful property.

Carlos is a super host. He’s very responsive and accommodating. There was an issue with hot water getting cold on afternoons and as soon as I messaged him , he responded very quickly and arranged for a plumber to have it checked out. He then partially reimbursed us as a gesture of goodwill. The place was clean with a lot of nice touches and amazing view.

stayed the weekend at this accommodation and was perfect the hosts are very friendly and accommodating,the surrounding views are gorgeous,as is the property,you can spend time with the animals they have on property,it really felt like home away from home. recommend staying you won't b disappointed.

Max was a great host and made it so easy to find and stay. The place is exactly as described and really delightful. We were there to do a small errand nearby and the location was perfect. It's just a minute or two into town and we found ourselves with some time to spare so visited a local vineyard for a tasting. The trees and scenery nearby are stunning, neighbours friendly and the whole experience reversed my perception of Bathurst as just a motorsports haven. Max's place is fully self contained and in perfect condition - it is exactly what airbnb is all about and we are so glad we stayed rather than go with a roadside motel. The amenities provided are generous and there is a great sized front and back yard - next time we stay we will try the fire pit! Look to be completely frank if you are reading reviews about this place and read this far just book it now because this is about as good as it gets in airbnb land. We'll be back - and probably so will you, once you stay here.
