Cabin vacation rentals in Bassett

We had a nice stay at the cabin. The area is very peaceful. Rebecca was very responsive to any questions we had. We would stay with Rebecca again if ever in the area.

Setting was beautiful! Loved the hot tub on the porch and the views were stunning. Host was very nice, breakfast was awesome each morning, enjoyed the privacy. I would return for another stay anytime

All I can say is wow! This home is the perfect vacation spot!! A ton of privacy, very clean and plenty of yard for your fur baby to run around! We saw so much wildlife which was really exciting! The blackstone griddle was perfect for cooking breakfast and dinners! Plenty of towels to enjoy many soaks in the hot tub and enough for showering. I will absolutely rent here again as it is perfect! About a 25 minute trip to Mt. Airy which has all of your restaurant and grocery needs. thank you Balager for sharing such a incredible getaway! We cannot wait to return!

Beautiful addition to our trip….very clean and perfect for what we wanted

This was a beautiful cabin in the woods!! There was a great vintage feel with many modern amenities!! I loved the fresh eggs and my husband loved cooking on the vintage stove and grilling outside. We enjoyed the horseshoes and frisbee golf after a wonderful hike. We then soaked our aching muscles in the hot tub. We enjoyed eating outside on the porch next to a scenic view with a creek listening to the birds. We did not utilize the fire pit area but we do plan to go back. It is perfectly located nearby to some beautiful hikes and historic Roanoke!!

Enjoyed our stay very much. House was very cool and comfortable. Beautiful setting with overlook of the river Unfortunately, due to the weather, didn't get much chance to use the trails near the house - but were @ 25 min from hikes at Pilot Mountain. Communication was terrific - and the extra info about finding house came in very helpful. Enjoyed stay and would book again if traveling to the area.

Place was great. Zoe, the outdoor cat was adorable and friendly. Just make sure if you are following your gps you look for the sign by the road!

From the welcoming lanterns on the porch, to the blankets already situated in all the cozy chairs and rockers, to the robes ready for the hot tub, everything was ready to start relaxing from the moment of arriving. The wine, cold drinks, a variety of snacks, and candy dishes were the most abundant I’ve seen in all of my Airbnb experiences. There were friendly family dogs for canine company (as desired!). We could have stayed a week in order to fully enjoy all of the offerings. We really hope to get back - it really was perfect!

This place never fails. my kids play and float in the creek, we grill out, have dodge ball and wiggle ball competitions in the big open field.

Stayed at the A Frame for a birthday weekend getaway. Easy to find, comfortable beds and nice clean bathrooms, beautiful scenery, and lots of places to sit, which is important for a family of 5! We enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine and lounging inside. We drove about 30 minutes to Westfield for a scenic, delicious birthday dinner at Big Creek Lodge Restaurant. Close by is Hanging Rock State Park and we hiked to the top and to the upper cascade falls. Then we enjoyed ice cream at the Front Porch Creamery. We stopped by Priddy’s General Store that’s been there for 100 years and chatted with the owner. We ate dinner at El Cabo, also nearby and delicious. Fire wood was provided for the fire pit, where we told stories and drank hot chocolate under the lights. On our way out of town, we drove to the top of Pilot Mountain and hiked a bit then stopped at Aunt Bea’s BBQ for lunch. Looking forward to coming back to explore more of this area of NC. What an amazing stay! Such a cozy cabin and warm ambience. From cozying up inside by the fire to sipping coffee on the porch it was the relaxing stay that I so desperately needed. The porch is expansive and has extremely comfortable rockers, the bed upstairs with the soft lighting at night is romantic and relaxing, and the property was really enjoyable to walk around. The host was friendly and very responsive. I had a wonderful time with my fur babies and would definitely come back.

Amazing spot up in the mountains near Roanoke. Perfect for hiking and enjoying nature, place was exactly as described.

Such a special place to stay! The cabin is wonderfully cozy and homey, with windows open we could hear birdsong every morning and gentle rains at night. Kitchen is well suited for lots of cooking, and the array of books and games was impressive. We loved hiking in the surrounding areas, and equally enjoyed being able to rest here in the evenings. Highly recommend :)

It’s no wonder Patty & Tom have such stellar reviews! Their cabin is one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in! Close to all Floyd has to offer, everything was meticulously thought of: fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, water & snacks, and little touches -as a woman I really appreciated. I worked from the cabin the entire week, as the desk was the perfect spot to hold meetings and enjoy the view of the snow falling as well as the fireplace in the living room. Our bedroom was cozy, the period furniture all about the cabin adding a sense of whimsy. Each evening we cooked in the spacious, well equipped kitchen and enjoyed our meals at the dining room table. Best of all, Patty and Tom are gracious, kind, and the kind of hosts that Airbnb should strive for. We look forward to visiting Patty, Tom, and the Cabin again!

We had a truly wonderful stay. This charming cabin is the ideal retreat for a tranquil and picturesque weekend escape. Adam and Gloria were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. An exceptional experience and excellent value!

Amazing and YES, cozy but not small country cottage! Beautiful Natural and well kept outdoors. Many sitting and dinning areas. inside provided tremendous light, many windows, Amazing space and separation of sleeping areas and very private bath. Kitchen perfectly laid out with much space for multiple cooks. Clean, private, quite and indoor bug free environment. Two perfect fire pits; one secluded for privacy and another perfect for gatherings. Perfect ambience. We felt we were home away from home. We had last minute request and Michelle was flexible, accommodating and went beyond host duties to fulfill our unusual needs. We will definitely return for another country cozy get away. Check in/out instructions were clear and minimal. Thank you for an amazing getaway! Look for us to return. We will definitely tell our friends!

Melba's little cabin is amazing. Don't just stay somewhere nice, stay somewhere unique and wonderful! From the custom details in the house to the adorable animals just across the fence (especially the little pig), this cabin was a heartwarming, peaceful experience we'll never forget. Close to great dining, too and of course Smith Mountain Lake. Thank you, Melba and family. We hope to come back.

The Floyd EcoVillage cabin was the perfect fit for me. I needed a peaceful place to decompress, but wanted to be close to town for restaurants, etc. It was cozy, quiet, comfortable, and convenient--exactly what I needed!

The cabin is so secluded. At night we heard nothing but wildlife. It was so quiet we could hear the Mayo river even though it was a half mile away. Anytime I can get somewhere where there is next to no cell phone service, I am happy. It was a nice short walk to the rapids and my family spent most of the day there.

Love this little place hidden in the woods, away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet and comfy, perfect location to just BE. February weather being what it is, we spent most of our time indoors with a fire in the cozy woodstove. Our original plan was for me to spend days in town for an assignment but when it fell through, well, the change in plans was everything I didn't know I needed. Our communication was fabulous - very responsive and helpful with all of my questions.

This is an adorable little cabin in a quiet secluded area - so peaceful! The pictures don't do it justice! It looks tiny from the outside, but it seems larger once you're inside. It's very cozy and clean. We did not have the opportunity to experience the outside silo/fireplace but with more time, we'd definitely have done that. I imagine this cabin in the winter would be picture perfect. We'd love to go back sometime!
