Family-friendly vacation rentals in Basel

My third time here and as usual it was perfect.

It was exactly what we needed and expected, and they are very kind!

Great location in the middle of nature with wonderful distant views. Super nice, personal hosts, extremely helpful and communicative. The apartment is very nice, equipped with everything necessary, very clean and comfortable, great spacious modern bathroom and good kitchen. Very large terrace for breakfast and relaxing. We felt really comfortable from the first minute. The location is ideal for excursions in the mountainous surroundings, as well as in the surrounding cities worth seeing. When we come back to the area, which we definitely plan to do, definitely in this enchanting apartment.

We had a wonderful stay and can only recommend the apartment. The apartment is very chic and the kitchen was very well equipped. The bed is a little small, probably 1.40m. If you're not used to it, it can be a little cramped for two. Communication went very well. Luis was very friendly and easy to reach. About the location: the train station is within walking distance, but the supermarket is a little further on foot. All in all: Top :)

Thomas is an excellent host and his apartment is very comfortable and well located. Thomas responded quickly to any questions we had. The apartment is in a quiet, tree lined street and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The bed was really comfortable. We could easily walk into the old town of Basel and the tram was also close by.

Absolutely book if its available! It is worth more than 5 stars. The photos in the listing are already beautiful, but in real life it is even nicer. The apartment is sparkling clean, spacious and really equipped with all the comforts. The view? Breathtaking! It is quietly located on a cul-de-sac, and in front of the door you have all the space to park your car. There are 2 bedrooms, one of which is furnished as a children's room – but also great for adults. The shutters keep it nice and cool inside. The shutters also make sure that it is really dark in the bedrooms so you sleep wonderfully. The location is very quiet and the surroundings beautiful. There is plenty to do and within half an hour you are in the hustle and bustle of Basel. If you have any questions, Anja is always available quickly and kindly. We enjoyed it immensely and would love to come back again!

Great place for a peaceful stay

We had a wonderful stay here! The place was just the perfect size for our family-cozy yet spacious enough for everyone to feel comfortable. The garden was a real highlight: beautifully kept and very welcoming, a great space for both kids and adults to relax. Everything was spotless and clean, and the quiet surroundings made it ideal for our children’s bedtime. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, from the essential drinks that were provided to the baby crib offered for our little one. These details really made a difference and showed how much care went into hosting 🤗 Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay! Exceeded all my expectations. Great location, larger and more comfortable than anticipated. Convenient to the train station enabling easy exploration of the surrounding area. Fantastic and friendly host.

We lacked nothing, everything was clean and cozy. In addition, there were wonderful views. We can highly recommend the apartment! Communication with Sabine was also straightforward and very hospitable in advance and during!

Our stay at this Airbnb was fantastic! The place was spacious, clean and located in a lovely neighborhood. Nice location to do day trips to Swiss! The host was friendly and accommodating, ensuring a disturbance-free experience. We loved cooking delicious Indian meals in the well-equipped kitchen, making our stay even more special. It was also my toddler’s first Airbnb experience, and she truly enjoyed walking in the sunny terrace. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

My vacation with Ruth, in her beautiful villa, surrounded by beautiful nature, was simply magical! Ruth is a very warm and positive person who is very committed to the well-being of the guest. It is very lovingly designed and I felt right at home! I particularly enjoyed the tranquility, fortunately I also had great weather, so I could be in nature a lot. stay in a very well-equipped, large, comfortable, functional and spacious apartment. Extraordinary view: 24th floor. the Tour d'Europe is monitored 24 hours a day by guards. perfect location: city center, everything can be done by tram or tram-train. many shops on the ground floor of the Tour d'Europe historic city center right next door tourist office just next door for information for visits: Cité du Rail, Musée de l'Automobile, Musée Électropolis...

Fantastic host and delightful apartment! Meeting Thierry and his family was one of the highlights of our visit. The apartment is their delightful home which they shared generously. We particularly appreciated their generosity as we had just stayed in two Airbnbs that provided almost nothing including no napkins or paper towels. The views of Basel are lovely and the apartment is high enough to be quiet. The tram stopped very close to the building. Also, walking to downtown was lovely and easy. Shopping is super convenient with markets very nearby. And our best meal in Basel was just down the street from the apartment at the fabulous Turkish restaurant, Marmaris, which Thierry recommended. Thank you for everything, Thierry!

Claudine welcomed us in a very friendly way and also a little earlier than planned. The place is very nice. Right next to the house there are farm animals. Very idyllic. Thank you very much.

Our stay with Markus & Cherylanne was very pleasant. They are very warm and welcoming. The location is quiet and is a good starting point for discovering nature. The accommodation was clean and equipped with everything you need. Cherylanne in particular is a warm personality . We had no butter and coffee and she gave it to us with love. She surprised us with homemade spring rolls and a bottle of wine. The only point of attention is the kitchen, where the electric pits do not work so well and the oven does not either. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location, walkable/easy tram from train station, close to the centre with shops/restaurants, quiet street.
