Our stay was wonderful! The home is beautiful and we enjoyed it so much! Bouwien was a great host with clear communication and always responsive. we would recommend this home to anyone visiting the beautiful town of Montagu.

This place is made to calm down and relax. It‘s far out the city and around 1km from the host‘s farm. There is no electricity in the house but candles and lamps… and a very nice hot tube. Heleen, our super friendly host, prepared hot water when we arrived, gave us a lot of useful recommendations around this place and was helpful for everything we needed. There‘s almost no light pollution allowing a nice and clear sky full of stars! We would highly recommend this place and definitely come again! Thanks a lot!

We enjoyed our stay at the riverside cottage. The accommodation is simple but cozy, with plenty of relaxing spots around. We appreciated the lovely complimentary touches like coffee, tea, milk, butter, bread and water. There was lots of space for the kids to play, which made it even more special. A place full of good memories! I’m not sure is it’s okay but during the braai was lots of smoke in the house, I advise do it outside.

We had a really great stay, it is a beautiful location with easy access to Montague and Barrydale. Danielle gave us some really great suggestions for things to do in the area. The farm has some nice walks, and the roads are well kept, very accessible for cars, no 4x4 needed. The farm has some very friendly dogs as well. They were kind enough to provide us with wood and a well equipped kitchenette. I highly recommend it.

Really awesome overnight accommodation! We loved the spacious layout of the room, the comfortable bed and all the thoughtful attention to details which enhanced our stay. Relaxing in the cut out bath chairs around the fire pit area that evening gazing at the stars and enjoying the view over the orchards with the mountains all around and then watching the glorious sunrise in the morning, makes this short stay memorable!
