Waterfront vacation rentals in Barnegat Bay

This is by far my favorite Airbnb I've ever stayed in. My sister and I had visited Asbury Park a month ago and wanted to come back, so we were so excited to find this beautiful gem so close to the beach! The space is absolutely perfect I would move in if I could! Everything from location to cleanliness to the kindness of the host it was a dream. If I ever visit again I will rebook in a heartbeat! Thank you so much Marisa for the most wonderful stay!

Our stay at Sharone's was absolutely wonderful through and through! This space is a gem! Conveniently located from both the boardwalk and the beach, the space itself was tidy, full of amenities, and the perfect escape to reset after several hours on the beach, before heading out to experience the nightlife in the evening. Sharone was attentive and considerate, offering wonderful suggestions and recommendations, and eager to see that we were comfortable, happy, and looked after on our stay. Our trip was pleasure and we will absolutely book again. Thank you, Sharone for your hospitality!

This was all we needed for two days at the beach. It was just right. Just cross the street and we were on the boardwalk and the beach. Parking was great! We walked everywhere. A very cozy home. I recommend it highly!

Karen’s home was lovely! A great location a short walk from the beach and boardwalk, and easy to walk into downtown Ocean Grove from. Karen was an exceptional host, very welcoming, gave great recommendations, and was even flexible with a later check out than initially agreed upon. 10/10 would recommend staying here!

Angela’s place was super cute, comfortable and relaxing! Angela made us feel at home and was easy to communicate with. My husband was over the moon watching the boats, wave runners and a lovely little family of swans on the canal. We found some great restaurants near the rental. Ship Bottom Beach and all it has to offer was just over the bridge, easy peasy! We thoroughly enjoyed our beach getaway at Angela’s place!

Greg was very responsive of my questions prior to the stay. The place was clean and what I expected. This is a beautiful spot to look out at the ocean I will definitely book this again in the future. Pricing was a little more than usual, however, it was worth every penny.

I recently stayed at this charming Airbnb near the beach, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the boardwalk and directly across from the beach. The property itself is clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, offering a relaxing retreat after a day in the sun. The host was incredibly welcoming. Whether you're looking to enjoy beach activities or explore the vibrant boardwalk scene, this place is perfectly situated for both. Highly recommend for a memorable seaside getaway!

I hesitate to say how great this place is because I want it for every time I am in NJ. With that said, this place is incredible and the hosts are the best. The description of the place may be selling it short. Most evenings involved sitting on the beach across the street watching a gorgeous sunset followed up by a quick walk or bike ride to several top notch local places for food, drinks, and fun (Al Ponte for Thursday and Friday night lobsters).

Wonderful find for a quick girls weekend. The house is peaceful and cozy with a beautiful view. The space was clean and comfortable with simple kitchen basics, comfortable beds and a great updated bathroom. Talisa was accommodating and responsive from start to finish, will definitely return.

A Perfect Getaway on Long Beach Island Our stay on Long Beach Island was wonderful! The house was right on the bay, offering breathtaking sunrise views each morning. Diana was fantastic to work with—easy to communicate with and very helpful. A rare perk on LBI, linens were provided, which made traveling by plane much easier. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with thoughtful extras. Our son loved the fishing pole (just bring hooks and bait), and there were plenty of games for rainy days—though we had perfect weather! We also had a delicious breakfast at LBI Table—highly recommend! (LBI Table) If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-equipped retreat with stunning water views and a great host, this is the place to stay. We can’t wait to return!

This was our first experience with Airbnb so we didn’t know what to expect. James and Erick were very responsive and the experience was stress free. We’re from Charleston SC so my husband is a Carolina fan. We couldn’t get the football game on so we called Erick. He came over on a Saturday and fixed it right away. Needless to say my husband was very grateful. We are forever Airbnb fans.

Great place. Beautiful house/neighborhood!

All in all a great stay, my only recommendation is if you are someone who likes to have a wash cloth pack some for your trip along with dish towels and extra paper towels. Otherwise a great location and Aron was very responsive and helpful!

Fantastic location backing up to Island Beach State Park. Natural and rugged. The house was spotless which was much appreciated! Jillian was very nice and prompt with responses. We had a quiet and relaxing time. Thank you!

Katty was a fabulous host! She was easy to communicate with, was proactive in getting us all details needed for our stay, and was very friendly. The home was exactly as pictured and was the perfect place for two families of 4 to spend a week. We enjoyed having separate spaces to spend time- the game room and movie room worked especially well for our group. The accommodations were super welcoming. And the location right on the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking throughout the week and having lakeside coffee each morning. Katty left sweet touches- snacks for the kids and the parents! She was also super helpful with recommendations for restaurants, ice cream, beach info, etc. We’d highly recommend spending time relaxing at Katty’s place!

Phenomenal.... no other way to describe Bayfront Beautiful. The home was immaculate, organized, and Patricia has thought of every detail to may the stay comfortable. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

You will just love it here! The grounds are well-kept and attractive. The pool and beach were lovely. The only issue with pool area is as soon as it opens, individuals take ownership of the tables with umbrellas by placing personal items on them yet no one may be there for extended periods of time. Those tables are the only respite from the sun which makes it challenging. Additional umbrellas over the lounge chairs would help or, simply not allowing “reservations” for the day- even better. I would suggest BYO beach chairs- the ones there are not ideal although nice to have been offered. Although we always had our beach/pool badges in our beach bags, personnel were not strict whatsoever. The unit itself is neat, well-appointed, comfortable and well-kept. The sofa reclines with the push of a button but is not a sofa bed per se. There is a foldaway bed in the closet of the master bedroom but we did not use it because space was limited. So much is provided and available and the view is spectacular. It was great to use the washer/dryer for small bits of laundry. The porch outside had two anti-gravity chairs and a pretty rocking chair with small tables to enjoy. We closed the black-out drapes in the master bedroom and deck doors during the heat of the day so that it remained cooler. The rules are simple and the check-in & out are easy. Lasolas Market in Rt. 35 North in Normandy Beach was close by and a great little find - bought a beautiful sirloin at butcher shop there and used huge onsite grill behind pool area. We rented jet skis and did some crabbing at Dockside Outfitters in Seaside Heights - great place. The Rt. 35 North offered many eateries, shops and ice cream shops- The Music Man for ice cream was cute. Point Pleasant and Seaside Heights boardwalks are short rides. Glenn was easily reached via airbnb and answered our few correspondences promptly. We appreciated our experience and Glenn’s hospitality. Thank you!

Niki's place was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The view was beautiful. Niki had most of what we needed for the beach, which was so helpful: chairs and umbrellas. The house had all we needed to make meals at home and was close enough to walk to the boardwalk. The master bedroom's bed was exceptionally comfortable. Niki was great at communicating and helping us troubleshoot the TV when we couldn't turn it on. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location and completely updated, clean, and comfortable rental. Everything you need is provided, including beach equipment. Access to the beach couldn’t be easier. Paula and Dwight were extremely responsive and gracious hosts and went out of their way to answer any questions and provide support when needed. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at the house! Everything was as listed. AJ was responsive and reached out with clear instructions on check in and house tips. The location was amazing, so close to the beach, and the neighbors in the rest of the house were very friendly. We loved chilling on the porch, and the quietness of Ocean Grove with the proximity of the more busy town of Asbury only about 3/4 of a mile away is perfect! Thanks again and we wil surely be looking to book again in the future!

We loved this place. Location definitely walkable to the boardwalk and beach. Also walkable to nice restaurants in Asbury Park and the Stone Pony if you are OK with walking up to a mile each way. The tennis court next door is part of a private club (off limits), but we found a public tennis/pickle ball court just 1.5 miles away on Main street. The bathroom has been updated very nicely. Another great amenity was the fully stocked Keurig coffee system. Thank you!

We stayed here with 4 adults and 4 children. Walking distance to beach. Responsive host. Very clean space. There are upstairs units and the walls and floors are thin. I also recommend travel black out curtains as it gets bright early at the beach and they have thin blinds.
