During summertime you can sit outside at the BBQ on the porch with a drink. In the fall, you can stroll through the woods and fields. During the winter, you can cozily enjoy reading by the woodstove. In spring, you can enjoy the first sunshine and fresh greenery. Throughout the year it is enjoyable here. The birds will whistle you awake and deer walking around will sometimes come right up to near the house.

'The Birdhouse' is hidden amongst the trees in a quiet spot on park Bosrijk Ruighenrode. In the garden you can spot many birds and squirrels. It is a great place for people who like walking and cycling! Three of the four bedrooms, one bathroom (with a shower in the bathtub) and a separate toilet are situated downstairs. The luxery bathroom upstairs has a sauna and steamcabine. It is a great place to stay with kids and there is ample space. Come and visit the house to enjoy the peace and quiet!

The house is heated with infrared panels, has a large double bed of 1.60 by 2.00 meters that can be closed off. You may use 2 bicycles and a Canadian kayak; the Berkel river is in walking distance of your accommodation. In addition to the picturesque village of Almen, Zutphen, Lochem and Deventer are also close by. After consulting us, you can bring your small dog with you.

The large windows that can be completely open ensure that you can fully enjoy the forest garden of 1100 m2. On the large veranda, there is a lovely lounge sofa and a picnic table. We spent a weekend there with 4 adults and 2 children and it was great. The house is as described and in the photos and everything necessary is available. From cribs to high chairs to toys and firewood. The garden is incredibly beautifully located with direct access to the lake. There are loungers, SUPs, an air mattress, a fire pit and a pizza oven. Only the weather let us down a bit - but Suzan can't do anything about that :)

While walking the Pieterpad had a very nice stay in this cozy, comfortable cottage. The owner is friendly and helpful. The cottage is complete with beautiful kitchen, bathroom and a nice bed. We enjoyed the wood stove, plunge pool and lovely garden with a visiting squirrel. Highly recommended.

We had a beautiful time at this lovely place. Judith & Marc gave everything for an unforgettable stay. The house is prepared so warmly with many useful extras. Whenever we needed something or simply needed help, we could send a text message and things were managed. We would love to come for a further stay. Either in summer to enjoy the impressing garden and its atmosphere or in winter, to feel cozy and safe at the beautiful house.
