Secluded small farm house nestled in among maple, apple and pine trees. Lots of parking for trailers and guests. Wood burning Sauna on property. Just a short walk down the hill is our Private rock beach On Lake Superior with a fire pit to get cozy and watch the sunset. The main cabin also has a fire pit for your enjoyment. This is a quiet place with whitetail deer being the only thing to come and visit. Occasionally you’ll see bald eagles fly overhead looking for their dinner. Walking trails.

There is an assortment of beds including a California king, three queens, a double, and two twins. There are two queen sofa beds in the living area. Beautiful home on quiet, peaceful Portage Lake. Only 1 mile out of Chassell and just 8 miles from downtown Houghton. This home is perfect for families visiting their children at Michigan Tech or friends on a get away to the beautiful Copper Country. Summers are great for boating and swimming in the lake. Fall colors are amazing especially along the bike trail just outside our door. Winters are great with skiing and snowmobiling. The dock is unavailable for renovations at this time.

Pricing is per bedroom, base price $125.00 for first bedroom for 1-2 guests per night, and an additional $75.00 for second bedroom per night when there will be 3-4 guests.

It is 8 miles from the town of L’Anse, and a 40 minute drive to Houghton. Cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and ORV trails are minutes away. Participate in the many summer and winter fishing tournaments in the area or relax and unwind on the private beach. A boat launch area is a short walk down the beach.
