Masterclass. Since retiring, we have managed to come to Ubud from Sydney almost every year. Two-bedroom villas, here in Penestanan, are always our first choice. The area’s peaceful, pedestrian-friendly pathways are unique. And safe. We’ve stayed in many of the villas nearby, and this one is truly exceptional. The design and layout work so well; the pool is always an inviting temperature; the appliances, the tableware, linen and fixtures are top quality. Everything works beautifully. The garden is manicured to perfection. The people who manage and maintain the villa are lovely, and they are truly dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible. They could run a Masterclass in hospitality. So, if you are browsing reviews of Ubud accomodation, and still undecided, you can believe what AirBNB says about Kunang Kunang villa: “This is a rare find. Book soon.”

Noka House is beautifully designed and decorated, making it such a pleasure to live in. Nyoman was a perfect host; friendly and helpful, and even driving us to the local Kecak fire dance, which was excellent. Ubud itself is chaotic and busy; but Noka House is like an oasis of calm. We enjoyed an early morning walk in the nearby rice fields, and loved our breakfasts at Akamana, a cafe which was a short walk along the main road. Other highlights included: Oreo the house cat; watching the rain from the terrace followed by a magnificent rainbow; relaxing by the pool; yoga on the terrace… It was hard to leave!

Great, cozy little bungalow away from the hustle and bustle but so close to town. Wi-Fi worked well, AC was great and the fully stocked kitchen was wonderful. The yard and street to get to the house does get pretty muddy and messy when it rains but that’s to be expected during rainy season. Yes you hear the roosters, but that’s Bali and didn’t bother me one bit ☺️ it’s like your own little oasis! I slept so good! Would definitely come back.

Kadek was a fantastic host. Very easy to communicate with. He met us at the road and transported our luggage to the villa, then transported it back on check-out. The villa was beautiful and clean and the pool was wonderful to relax in. The view over the rice paddy was stunning and so restful. There were lots of eateries along the laneway to the villa and plenty of spots to get a massage too! We would definitely stay again if we visit Ubud in the future.

Made’s place was absolutely perfect! Beautiful and artistically crafted interior and exquisite views of nature. There are hiking trails nearby and the pool is by a flowing stream that produces the most calming sounds. There is a grand tub that could likely accommodate two people, and the air conditioner worked well. He and his family made me feel so welcomed right from the start and are all extremely attentive to your needs and questions. This is a truly place of love and peace. Highly recommended!

This peaceful place was an amazing space. Had great areas for relaxing, quite pool and located away from the main street but close enough to walk everywhere. The host were sensational, always checking in on you but giving you space when you need it. Would recommend this spot for a few mates, or a couple to relax but be close to the action.

We have been living in Denpasar for one year, but we are originally from the U.S. where we lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains, had a garden, and spent our evenings by the campfire. We were looking for a place to get away for our son’s 16th birthday and hoped for somewhere away from traffic and surrounded by trees. We could not have dreamed that we would find a place that would ease our homesickness while also allowing us to experience the true beauty of the real Bali. If we could move into the cabin, we would in a heartbeat. The staff is incredible and they immediately made us feel like family. We have officially named the cabin our “home away from home” and hope to return when we begin to feel homesick. If you love the outdoors, gardens, trails, flowers, and campfires, you will not be disappointed.

Потрясающая вилла!! Невероятно красивая территория, джунгли словно из фильма, пение птиц по утрам! Нам понравилось буквально все! Уютные спальни, комфортные большие кровати, очень удобные матрасы. Есть стиральная машина с сушкой, полноценная кухня с посудомойкой – что не часто встретишь на Бали. Все чисто и уютно! Персонал очень отзывчивый, девушки помогли нам разложить и погладить вещи. Утром нам приготовили вкуснейший плавучий завтрак, спасибо Кадеку еще раз! И отдельное спасибо за фотографии в бассейне, огромное удовольствие плавать в бассейне и видом на каньон. Вилла такая уютная и красивая, что совсем не хочется уезжать, мы вернемся сюда на более длительный срок 100 процентов! Это тот редкий случай когда фото не передают всей красоты и масштаба виллы! Спасибо, едем дальше на север!

Villa magnifique, au delà de nos espérances. L'accès n'est pas facile car on y accède par une petite rampe à pied avec les valises. Le personnel est sur place mais discret heureusement. Le pisciniste est venu nettoyer la piscine pendant notre séjour d'une nuit. La maison est juste incroyable avec toutes les commodités. Attention au grand tapis à l'entrée devant les escaliers car il glisse quand on y pose le pied. Pensez à fermer les portes en fin de journée, car des singes ont commencé à s'approcher et se sont mis sur les rambardes. Ils ne sont pas restés longtemps. heureusement. C'était la petite attraction de la fin de journée. Nous avons pu faire venir un chef privé ainsi que des massages à domicile car le lieu est un peu excentré. Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve.

Huset var större än det såg ut på bilderna, stora fina rum. Väldigt rent och fräscht, men det är ett hus som är 25 år gammalt. Frukosten var fantastiskt. Omelett och pannkakor som var de bästa hittills på resan. Wayan och hans fru tog väldigt väl hand om oss 🤩 Det enda som störde, var att det pågick ett byggnadsarbete precis nedanför. De kom in i en fas när det bankade och slog väldigt mycket. Men hade vi inte varit hemma och sjuka mitt på dagen, hade vi knappt märkt av det. Väldigt prisvärt boende med den goda frukosten och transfer in till Ubud C.

Villa Gita is the kind of place where you go to really get away and relax. It’s great for a group of people who want to be away from the hustle and bustle and really live in a real Balinese village. You’ll see perfectly dark skies at night from the pool and be spoiled be the beauty of nature around the property. The staff at the house was so nice and helpful. Ayu will organize great food and will organize picking up any grocery and special items for you as you’re around a 10 minute scooter ride from the nearest mini mart. Theres a local guy named Wayan who drove our party around the island and was completely sweet and informative about sites to see and local knowledge. He even took me to a special Barong cleansing ceremony in the mountains that was maybe the highlight of my weeks spent in Bali this round. His rates are very reasonable and such a better way to drive around than trying to rent a car. It’s an amazing place to kick off epic motorcycle journeys on epic country roads

Wow.. all around one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had in Bali. Excellent communication from the staff, helpful arrangements, beautful villa with a breath taking view, and an amazing climb and tour of My. Batur. Nyoman and Wayan were both extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful evey step of the way. Will book again when my sister and her boyfriend come to visit Bali 🙌 Terima Kasih Banyak 🙏

First off, we started at another villa and were not satisfied with the accommodations. I found this Villa by Agus and they responded immediately and allowed us to check in the same day within 2h of requesting. Walking through the wooden doors to the ambiance of the fountain pool and the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms as well as kitchen are overwhelmingly perfect. We cooked some of our own meals and ordered a meal and drinks from the host. They offer all kinds of services of which we had the 90min massage, flowers, dinners and beverages. They offer so much more, including the history of the Villa. The host, his wife and family and cute pups are so very kind and gracious. This was the perfect stay for us especially for spring break and taking time away. Relaxing, beautiful, and clean. I would choose this villa again and again. I was so pleased with the location, friendliness of the host, and truly peaceful tropical setting. Thank you.

I’m the most amazed about the hospitality and the help living in this cozy near the river jungle cabin. The place was very cozy Well loved chatting with the family about Bali There is beautiful pool and quite a lot of stairs, beautiful road to the house in the depth of the establishment We really recommend this day because it’s close to booth center and the Alchemy and zest restaurants Also, definitely check Cupid barbecue and it’s grilled chicken steak.

Amazing villa surrounded by nature! I had a wonderful stay at this villa in Ubud. It’s only about 10 minutes away from the center, but it feels like a peaceful . The atmosphere is calm, the design is beautiful, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The private pool overlooking the trees was definitely the highlight – super relaxing and great for taking in the view. The outdoor seating area was perfect for morning coffee or just chilling in the evening. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking to unwind in a quiet and scenic place. I’d definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Villa Lunaria in Ubud, Bali was absolutely perfect! This luxury villa offers a truly spacious and beautiful environment, with a modern design and a touch of boho style. The private pool provided an amazing peaceful retreat, surrounded by the natural beauty of Bali. The location is ideal, just a quick 10-minute ride by scooter or car to the heart of Ubud. Nearby, you’ll find Sayan Market, a popular spot for fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, and tasty street food in the evening. We were impressed with Kadek, a friendly and helpful Balinese host who took care of our every need, from luggage to local tips. Rafał was an exceptional host, attentive to every detail, which made our stay feel even more special. Highly recommend this villa for anyone seeking a luxurious, peaceful escape in Bali’s Ubud area 💜

Cannot rave enough about the place, it was more than you could wish for! Stunning picturesque surroundings, easy to get to location with a lot of activities nearby, very comfortable and beautifully designed villas with all the amenities and service of a 5 star hotel. Really grateful to the staff and the owner who made our stay unforgettable( we have even extended because we have enjoyed it so much) and our anniversary special by very special flowers decoration in our room and a candle lit dinner. The villas are more than reasonably price and extra services are very affordable. Highly recommend their spa, it’s an absolute must while you are here with very skilful therapists.

I cannot say enough positive things about my stay at Santra Putra and about the wonderful hosts, Komang and his family. What a special, special place. The room was spacious and lovely and surrounded by lush beautiful gardens teeming with flowers and birds and riotous greenery. There is art everywhere and the founder is an accomplished and talented artist and educator. His wife Made and sister in law Ketut, and son Komang, and the team there are all just amazing humans, full of goodwill, humor and kindness. I can’t believe I dropped into this awesomeness. Santra Putra draws some wonderful people as well and conversations around the breakfast table were wonderful and generative. I felt the perfect balance of privacy and connectivity. The kitchen in my space was great for my needs and I felt right at home. Bed was very comfortable and I always felt safe as a solo traveler. Location great. Access to many cafes, restaurants, beautiful walks.. Thank you Komang and family. Will return.

Logement très agréable et propose, bien situé, pas trop loin du centre à pied mais assez loin pour être au calme. Le personnel est au top et a l’écoute. La communication avec la propriétaire c’est très bien passé. Nous recommandons ce lieu.

Such a beautiful place. I felt so welcome from the moment I arrived to leaving. I spent my birthday here, Made and his team made me feel so special. Lovely quiet location, over looking the rice fields. Gorgeous pool area with hammocks for ultimate relaxation. Breakfast was great each morning (added extra). 10mins from central ubud. The room was gorgeous, really comfy bed, huge bath and private pool, I loved it. You won’t want to leave this place! I’ll definitely be back. Thank you Made and the team, I had an amazing stay!
