The property is 24 acres, sitting on the edge of Big South Fork National Park. The front yard is big enough for games. When you are through for the day and after enjoying the enclosed hot tub/pool inside, go outside and enjoy the fire pit area. Horses welcome, small pasture area, no barn. Located in the backyard of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, in Allardt at the corner of Hwys. 296 and 52, The Old Allardt Schoolhouse, circa 1910, has been restored for your lodging pleasure. The schoolhouse features two bedrooms and two baths furnished in elegant antiques, fully equipped kitchen, central heat and air, high speed DSL internet, fireplace, as well as front and back porches complete with rocking chairs to help rock your cares away.

Near Big South Fork and Historic Rugby. 3 mile hike from the cabin to the river round-trip. Or drive to the trailhead and hike half a mile to the river. Come here to unwind and de-stress. Totally peaceful :-) My favorite time of year is winter at the cabin. Nothing like sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the frosty trees and mountains!

You will stay at our guest house with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, laundry and a cozy porch and a grill outside. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room comes with a pull-out couch. The place can host 3 adults or a family of 4 very comfortably. We are non-smoking and pet free. Please don’t pressure me to bring your dog.
