Hohenstein is not a transit point and is very quiet at an altitude of about 360 m. The nearest EK stores are 3.5 km away. Hohenstein Castle (over 800 years old, 150 meters away) offers six weeks of castle festivals in summer and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Three beautiful golf courses are about 25 minutes away. The hiking trails "Rheinsteig," "Burgensteig," "Wispertal" and the "Rheingau-Riesling-Route" can be reached quickly. Guests with bicycles get their money's worth. E-bikes would be great.

We were there with 2 kids for several days. The place is spacy (2 bedrooms+Bathroom+guest WC+Kitchen++big living room with spectacular view). The rooms are Super clean and the area around is very quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately during our stay it has been raining for most of the time so we didn‘t go out much for exploring the surroundings. However, the place is big enough and well equipped to keep the kids busy. We had a nice stay there. The host Scottie is very friendly and nice.

Super great Airbnb experience. Everything really worked out here. Beautiful place, tip top clean, very quiet and super friendly hosts. Nice area where a few more days are worth it! We will be happy to come back.
