Staying at Casita Escondida for a month has been nothing short of magical. In English, the name translates to “little hidden house,” but it is so much more than that—it’s a hidden gem of peace, beauty, and warmth. Each morning began with breathtaking sunrises, and each evening closed with serene sunsets over the ocean-facing mountains. The lush landscaping, vibrant greenery, inviting swimming pool, and peaceful terrace created an atmosphere of total tranquility. From one side of the terrace, I looked out over nature’s splendour—and from the other, I was graced with the presence of my host, whose heart of gold added depth and kindness to this beautiful stay. The accommodations are serene, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for rest and reflection. Just a short walk down the hill lies a charming little village and the ocean, offering the best of both worlds: secluded calm and local life. I leave Casita Escondida with a full heart and immense gratitude. A truly unforgettable experience

This casita was an amazing place to stay. We honestly never wanted to leave. The proximity to the ocean was unbeatable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. We felt right at home and enjoyed our stay immensely. We'll be returning again at the next chance to visit El Salvador.

I like peaceful places. This place is where you want to be ! I'll recommend it to all of my family and friends. The lake is within 5 min and the view is beautiful !

Extremely laid back atmosphere and beautiful outdoor area. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen, the hammocks and the pool. Elisabeth was always available with good advice and had valuable connections to local services and Dan even helped me fix my motor bike.

Loved the penthouse !!! I stayed for 4 nights Anything I needed was happily given ! The great private balcony ! Bed was comfortable! Not to hard not too soft , perfect in between.close walk to beach ! Dan picked up at airport and drove me around town , His daughter is so sweet she toured me around town and beach and helped me order food in Spanish .Dan wife Elizabeth is so kind and sweet she drove me to El Tunco ! I asked for a coffee maker and I had one 😎the pool was so amazing I spent most of my time in there , Augustt is very hot !!! Loved the shower and the pressure was best i ever had ! Water is cool but feels So good in heat ! The out door shower is super also ! The place was walled / safe 2 doors with codes to enter , even a shower at entrance from beach . Town is so safe !!!!!! I’m a single lady and I had no issues . The place was so quiet no partying!!! No smoking !!! Met nice people staying there ! He has 5 rooms to rent and then his place . Everyone was so respectful! Love

The property is in a populated neighborhood but feels like a quiet country retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city as soon as you pass the gates and enter the garden. Everything including the studios themselves is super clean, tidy, well maintained and nicely decorated with vintage items. The rooms are spacious enough for a comfortable stay, and the kitchen, while small, has everything you need to prepare quick meals. Buses 33 A or B ($0.25), or R1 (chicken bus $0.20), pass by very regularly and will take you to Centro. Finally, the internet is good and the communication with the host and other members of his team was excellent. A+++.

Very nice place, Marta's family was very gentle and kind. The common area was spacious, we could cook there, it had a good aquipment. Also the room was fine, only the moskitos were a little bit annoying. Location was perfect, center is easy to reach by bus. Marta is a super host! Communication was always kind and helpful.

The location is okay, the surroundings are relatively quiet, it seems that there are buses passing by, but I didn't wait until I got a taxi.The house is in a closed yard, very safe, the facilities in the living room and room are clean and refined, and there are beautiful decorations on the cabinet.The room was hot in the room during the day, and fortunately there were fans.The rain was very cold and the floor drain was plugged in, perhaps just a temporary issue. Tito was kind and patient.I don't understand Spanish, I use translation software to communicate and check in, or use the text to make sure the check-in information is better (the address is hidden).Thank you Tito for all the help.

This was my favorite place in San Salvador! It is very spacious, comfy, clean, private, quiet. It's a beautiful old house with a beautiful garden turned into Airbnb. It has everything you need during your stay and more. The location is perfect, just cross the street and there is a mall. There are many stores, restaurants, supermarkets at walkable distance. Sebastian was super responsive and helpful. Will absolutely stay here next time and definitely recommend to anyone coming to San Salvador.

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Colonia Escalón. The space was clean, chic, and very peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for. It felt very private, and the check-in process was easy and smooth. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would love to stay here again.

Kitchen, kitchenware, all brand-new. Several waterfall/fountains are a nice detail. Place is very clean. Large mirror in bathroom with backlight is a nice detail. Room is better than in the pictures. The room is spacious with large space around the bed in the room. The location is ideal if you work or visit the Millenium Plaza Building which has a great co-working space. Everything is very clean. You can sleep in piece, there is no noise. It is quite. New AC did not turn on once and host responded quickly, and a technician came by and repaired it within an hour. Host was kind and we could drop-off our bags a few hours early. It is right next to the mall Galerias which plenty of bars and restaurants and movie teatre. Staff who works there is very kind.

A very nice place, highly recommended. This was my third consecutive year and I always leave happy. Everything is close, you can walk around visiting places in San Salvador. I hope to return next year
