This place is perfect for individualists who enjoy their privacy and enjoy the rough beauty of the nature at this calm part of Crete. However there will be nothing missing, since there are enough taverns in walking distance with premium quality. Just stick to Ami’s descriptions - you won’t be disappointed. I would recommend to bring shoes for the water since sandy beaches are not available directly at the house. However within 20 minutes drive you come for example to potato’s beach, which was one of our favorites, with a lot of sand. All in all we had a perfect holiday with two adults and four children. Thanks Ami, your place has special vibes and gets two thumbs up!

Our stay at Kera Valley House was a great starting point for our holiday. As it lays in the mountains, with the closest urban hub at approximately 20 minutes by car, we were able to enjoy some real peace and quiet. As it is higher up, the temperatures are also very manageable and you get some great views at the breakfast table. The house had all the modern amenities one could wish for, including surprisingly high speed internet speeds (800Mbits/s). Our hosts were also truly amazing. Kind, very responsive and literally going the extra mile. We accidentally locked ourselves out and they rushed in to help us get back in. We also appreciated the welcome package, including wines, refreshments, fresh fruits, homemade baklava and so on. If we had to give a point of critique, I would mention that the access to the outside table from the kitchen, requires you to take the spiral stairs, but in the end that just added to the holiday charm :-). Conclusion: highly recommended for the price!

We absolutely loved the house. The house was so peaceful, beautiful garden, we also loved the character of the house. The house had absolutely everything you needed to have a great holiday. We loved the village, it was quiet and the locals were very welcoming. Eleni was a great host, always helpful and so friendly. Watching the sunset from the roof top was one of our highlights of the trip, just stunning. We will be back.
