The Flekke Birdbox is an extraordinary place, it’s more beautiful than the pictures suggest, offering a spectacular view from its 350m elevation, showcasing the ocean and distant mountain peaks. The remote location provides total seclusion, making us feel like the only ones for miles. Nearby hiking opportunities abound, with a network of gravel roads/trails for easy walks. The enormous windows allowed us to stargaze from bed, even seeing the Northern Lights. The host was responsive, suggesting a nearby hike of 2-3 hrs with a lovely lake and a fire pit. The Birdbox impressed with its details, including lights and a motion light in the bathroom. The outdoor cooking area had a hob, utensils, and a covered space with chairs, a table, and a bålpanne. Watching the sunset by the fire before retiring to a comfy bed with blankets and a heater made it true glamping. This place is a gem, and we will be back. See you next time. Lisa, Trevor, and Baylor

I had a very nice stay at Lone's place even though it was just for one night. It's really cozy and has everything you need. The hosts are very helpful, always responded quickly and suggested so many things I could do in the region. If you're looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay between going on hikes in the beautiful surrounding, this is it.

The house is beautifully decorated. The views from all the windows were spectacular! There were six of us and it was very comfortable. We wish we were able to stay longer. Astrid Marie helped with any questions we had about the area. Side note, follow the directions Astrid Marie gives, do not follow online maps. We made a mistake using online maps. Astrid Marie's are detailed and will make it so much easier to find.

I had a great experience on this visit, and a significant part of it was Marie's space and attitude. The apartment was exactly what I needed and she helped me with everything I asked for. If I ever come back to the place I will definitely go back to it. I highly recommend her. This is a comfortable, tidy, clean and aesthetic apartment. Very pleasant and comfortable to stay there, all-around.

Cozy simple mountain cabin, Simple mountain cottage

This is an adventurous stay in nature, so be prepared for an awesome stay! Upon arrival, the family greeted us and after packing our backpacks we were personally escorted up the mountain. The walk was exhausting with heavy baggage but totally worth it for the complete privacy up there. Only noises are birds, waterfalls and once in a while a plane or an avalanche from beyond the valley. We got some fresh water for cooking from nearby streams and enough firewood that lasted us our whole overnight stay. The hikes from the cabin offer breathtaking views. The hosts are very responsive and helpful via chat. We definitely want to come back for longer :)

What a wonderful place for a holiday :) we had a lovely few days here. Super friendly and helpful welcome from Rose's husband who took care of us and gave us recommendations throughout our stay, a well equipped kitchen, lovely space to sit outside. Nearby are great walks and bike hire. Just be aware that the stairs are steep but that's shown in the photos and adds to the charm :)

This was fantastic. The route to the cabin is challenging with two children but the result is full privacy in a beautiful cabin. Everything was brand clean and everything was well thought out. We lacked nothing. Boots are not an unnecessary luxury
