The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.

Portobello Beach is 15 minute walk away which is a must see especially with kids they will love it in all weathers. Buses (every 10 minutes) stop at end of the street to city centre which takes about 15/20 minutes. Co-op, post office, and various takeaways at end of street. Beautifully furnished two-bedroom apartment in a central, but quiet, location, and within walking distance of most tourist attractions. If the hills are too much, a good bus service is nearby. The apartment is very comfortable - a real home from home. I live in the same building, so I'm available if you need help or advice. PARKING: you MUST let me know if you plan to bring a car BEFORE booking. The available parking won't suit everyone.
