This place is amazing! The property feels extremely private. There were 4 of us and we felt the house could easily have slept another 4. Everything was spotless. The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend going to their restaurant in town, everything was cooked perfectly. The pool was great and we loved using the barbecue. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

Unfortunately we were just able to stay one night at Marli‘s apartment. But we immediately felt like home. It‘s a rather big apartment with a roof terrace and we loved the view and the interior as well. Marli was easy to contact and recommended a good place to eat. We had a great time and would come back anytime!

La casa es realmente peculiar y especial, llena de historia y bonita decoración, antiguedades y detalles exquisitos. This was the most magical place for our family of five. I now want to come back and try all of Miguel’s other properties. A true highlight was taking advantage of the connections to local vendors that come with the hosts recommendations. Private dinner at the Pinta Lounge was amazing . I said to my husband at one point , “ I am so happy I could cry” - that sums up this cottage.

Wenn du in das Haus kommst dann blickst du einfach über das ganze Tal.. sensationelle Aussicht. Die großen Fensterfronten ermöglichen auch an kühlen Tagen die gleiche Aussicht von drinnen. Es ist gut erreichbar, alles geteerte Straßen nicht zu steil. Und dort ist dann Ruhe pur.. Abends hört man nur die Grillen zirpen.. herrlich. Die Better sind sehr bequem, alles ist vorhanden. Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, kleinere Renovationen würden über Zeit gut tun. Ich empfehle das Haus trotzdem jedem Ruhesuchenden, der schöne Aussichten liebt und in einer guten Lage für die Erkundung des Douro Gebietes sein möchte. Wanderungen sind ab dem Haus möglich und im Dorf ist das exzellente Restaurant DOC. Danke Mimi für alles..

Het appartement was ruim, proper, modern, prachtig gelegen met zicht op de Douro en oversteeg onze stoutste verwachtingen (beter dan de foto's). We hadden spijt dat we niet langer konden blijven. Dankzij de duidelijke instructies en foto's van Antonio hadden we het appartement heel snel gevonden. Inchecken via het sleutelkastje verliep ook zeer vlotjes. De 2 badkamers waren geen overbodige luxe. Vlak naast het appartement bevindt er zich een leuk barretje met zeer democratische prijzen. In de zomer moet het geweldig zijn om aan het mooie zwembad te vertoeven. Wij komen zeker terug!

This place was incredible. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, it was perfect. Such a kind host and farm manager, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and convenient to all things in the Douro Valley. I would stay at this place again in a second. Definitely worth it!

Magnifique vue ! 😍 On avait choisi cet appartement pour la vue sur les terrasses et nous n’avons pas été décus. Les grandes fenêtres permettent de se sentir dehors même à l’intérieur. La terrasse devant et sur le coté permet de bien profiter de la beauté des lieux. Je recommande!

O Sr. Peter é um excelente anfitrião. Foi sempre muito simpático desde o primeiro contacto. Preocupado e atento, fez com que os meus dias na casa corressem às mil maravilhas!!! Really excellent and large house that has been tastefully updated and renovated to modern standards. Great for our multi-family vacation to the Douro Valley. The kitchen was large with excellent modern appliances, and the entertainment room and grounds were ideal for our children. This is an excellent place to rent in the Douro Valley.

We had a wonderful stay! The home is conveniently located for visiting wineries in the Douro valley and the town of Armamar has beautiful views of the valley. Maria met us to let us into the place and was nearby if we needed anything but gave us plenty of privacy. We enjoyed the pool and patio space a lot. Would visit again!

Both Mr. João Souto and Ms. Maria de Fatima were the absolute BEST hosts we've ever had. They went above and beyond in every conceivable way! La propriété était magnifique. Nous sommes arrivés en avance et ils se sont empressés de tout nettoyer. On nous a offert la propriété avec le jacuzzi, et il y avait toutes les commodites nécessaires pour notre bébé : chaise haute, jouets, lit… le jacuzzi devant les grandes fenêtres était une expérience inoubliable. Endroit central pour explorer le douro. On a répondu à tous nos besoins, on nous a offert du porto et des fruits locaux. C’est évident que ces gens ont à cœur le bien être de leurs invités, on recommande sans hésitation.

Das Quartier in Fontelo ist großartig, ein geschmackvoll eingerichtetes , großzügiges Steinhaus mit einem komfortablen, separaten Schlafzimmer. Die Lage hoch über dem Dourotal ist von großer landschaftlicher Schönheit, das Auge erfreut sich jeden Tag an dieser einzigartigen Natur. Fontelo ist ein sympathisches Dorf mit guter Infrastruktur: Es gibt einen Supermarkt, eine Bäckerei, kleine Cafés mit gastronomischem Angebot. Sogar ein kleines Schwimmbad findet man im Dorf. Zudem gibt es vom Quartier aus zahlreiche schöne Strecken für einen, entspannten Abendspaziergang. Fernanda war eine sehr freundliche und sympathische Gestgeberin, die stets hilfsbereit und zugewandt war. Ich kann dieses Quartier für einen Besuch im Dourotal wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft zu einem sehr guten Preis.

Merci à Fernando! Bonne communication et très sympathique! Mes amis et moi avons aimé la petite maison située dans un petit village perché dans les montagnes du Douro. Nous avions une super belle vue sur les vignes. Expérience dépaysante et agréable!

La Casa Grande est une maison incroyable, nous avons adoré notre expérience, car oui c’est une expérience! Le chemin pour se rendre à Covelinhas est très escarpé, il faut être prudent lorsqu’on croise des voitures. La piscine est superbe, les chambres sont tous charmantes. Il y a deux petits café à proximité mais sinon on se déplace en voiture. Je recommande fortement.

We had never been to this area so we’re glad we rented a car in order to take a few side trips to some wineries. The place is modern, spacious and very clean. We especially liked the balcony overlooking the River. It would be helpful for more complete instructions in the “welcome book” for how to work appliances. We only used the washer/dryer but there are some great items to use in the kitchen. Beautiful apartment!

Fomos como nossos Pets e foi muito tranquilo. Encontramos lugar para comer nas proximidades e vagas para estacionar sempre por perto embora fosse vaga paga e tivemos que acordar cedo no dia seguinte para colocar novo bilhete de parking. As explicações dela são bem organizadas e não tivemos nenhum inconveniente ou intercorrências, realmente recomendo.

We hadden een geweldig verblijf bij Dini. Prachtig gelegen, midden in de natuur, met mooie uitzichten, brandschoon en alle voorzieningen aanwezig (zelfs een teiltje). Dini en Antonio zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij! Ze doen er alles aan om je een aangenaam verblijf te geven. Bedankt!

The location is amazing, only a block from the train station and walking distance to several good restaurants and wineries. The host was very kind and responsive. However, there was a very strong smell of cat urine in the kitchen and back bathroom as well as a mold smell in the back bathroom. The living room and bedrooms were very clean and welcoming though.

Все было идеально! Жилье выглядит даже лучше чем на фото. Очень удобное, продуманное и красивое жилье. Есть все для длительного проживания. Очень комфортная кровать, удобный диван, кухня оснащена всем необходимым и прекрасная терраса. Мы провели здесь месяц и с уверенность могу рекомендовать это жилье. Расположение отличное, это самый центр города и очень тихо. Магазины, продуктовые магазины, бары и рестораны рядом.
