Watamu Sandbar Beach Cottage

What a gem! Both the rental and the hosts! Couldn’t have asked for a better long weekend break at Sue and Damian’s place. Perfect, relaxing location with a pool (shared with the studio rental but we barely saw them) and just beside the beach (short path down from the property), layout of the house is great and has a large covered patio. Got excellent recommendations and updates from Sue on what was open, and loved meeting their dogs on the beach (separated from the rental)!

Medina Palms three bedroom Beach Villa in Watamu

AlexandraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Fabulous villa with masses of space and well equipped kitchen . Photos on Airbnb don’t do it justice as the villa spaces are far bigger than you’d imagine and the air conditioning worked well . The villa is private , clean , spacious and the team from medina palms looked after us extremely well . Every day we had a lovely house team who cleaned and then also came in the afternoon to do the turn down for the night . We went snorkelling one day and also enjoyed near by restaurants and the markets for shopping . Plenty of tuk tuks whenever you needed one . Thank you for a wonderful stay

Fantastic weekend at The nest . Beautiful house , fantastic staff who made us delicious breakfasts and dinners, and could not have been more charming and helpful. It’s a great spot for relaxing break . Diana was very responsive and generous in flexibility over checking out later . Highly recommend
An open and airy living area is featured, with a traditional Swahili-style design highlighted by natural wooden beams and clay walls. A comfortable seating arrangement sits on a patterned rug, complemented by an artistic wall, creating a serene space with indirect light filtering through sheer curtains.

Nyumba Ya Madau - Stunning Beach Villa in Watamu

MilanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is a wonderful home and we had a fabulous time. We came as 2 families of 4 (from London) + grandparents (from Nairobi) - so 10 of us in total. The house is beautiful - very charming and comfortable - and spills out onto the beach (via a private gated entrance). The kids loved playing in the small private pool and having daily walks out onto the reef in low-tide. The stretch of coastline the house is on is idyllic - about 20 min drive from Watamu town. The chef and staff are very attentive. We're all vegetarian and they handled that pretty well (though naturally they're more accustomed to a meat/seafood menu). As a family/group holiday venue, this is highly recommended.

Lynda's House is lovely! The setting is great, less than two minutes down a sandy path to the beach. The house had everything we needed for a family with two young children. The pool is lovely and had a large shallow section which our daughter loved. Fondo good us beautiful food and Joyce kept the house spotless. We are looking forward to coming back soon.

Private Indian Ocean Beachside Villa Sleeps 8

Lovely stay. House is a walk to the beach (not beachfront - Airbnb seems to sort these homes incorrectly when you search) but the house staff are absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to make our stay beautiful.
