Great location: in the middle of the woods and a lot of hiking trails and hiking trails in the area. Beautiful forests, fens, heathland, estates and small-scale farming. Nearby a pancake cottage with a large terrace (‘t Pannehuske) and a 35-minute walk away, a fine restaurant with also a nice terrace (De Moerse Bossen). The cottage is small and simple, but has everything you could need. The stairs to the attic are solid and fine to do.

Rianne is very welcoming. She guides you to places to stay. She is very responsive to respond. The people of Wemeldigen are very friendly, welcoming. Dogs are well received. It was even possible for us to eat on the terrace with our 3 dogs. The house is as described. The garden is fenced and locked. Everything is done to make sure we have a great stay. Rianne even had a little personal attention for us, very appreciated. We'll go back.

Very nice space and very quiet. Gunter welcomed us very friendly and with a nice drink. Jacuzzi was very nice. Thanks for hosting Gunter and if we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

Beautiful house with lots of bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. Private lawn with privacy on which we could have breakfast and dinner with the tables and chairs present. Fire bowl and Ofyr bbq to finish it. Delightfully enjoyed with the nine of us.

Great location at walking distance from everything in the old town. The place is a student accommodation so has shared toilet and shared kitchen. But it still has a shower and wash basin in the room which was helpful. The hosts were very responsive and readily available to answer queries which made everything easy. If you are on a budget and need a simple place at walking distance from everything in the old city this is a great choice. Thanks to the hosts for making everything easy.

It was a nice cozy place to stay, walking distance to all the attractions in old city. It was very large room more than enough for one person, with lots of lights coming in from various windows which are completely adjustable with automatic curtains, which were super convenient! Although the toilet was shared, I didn’t see anyone at all and it was comfortable experience. Just one thing would be there are flies in the kitchen and I was expecting to prep some meals but hesitated to do that for that reason but there are some people cooking so it should be not that big deal?

Fantastic stay, nicely renovated. Sauna, infrared cabin and swimming pool perfectly in order and very clean. fully equipped kitchen and a lovely terrace with beautiful garden furniture and sun loungers. We enjoyed it immensely and recommend it to anyone who wants to escape the busy days to relax here. Thank you to the sweet hostess for the warm welcome. Everything was taken care of to the last detail, so beautiful and done with a lot of attention. We felt really welcome and this is certainly worth repeating.

The atmosphere was serene with beautiful fresh aim coming in through the windows. The location was also very cost effective for me. It was closer to the central train station, and walkable from the University where I’ve got business. I wish I could stay longer to enjoy the serenity and experience Belgium hospitality to the fullest!

The room is acceptable and cozy, it has everything you need, the method to enter the place is good, since you only depend on your cell phone (a little bad that you can run out of battery and you will have no other way to enter)

Very peaceful place, loved having privacy but Marianne always offered use of the garden and even the pool. Felt very cozy and safe. She does offer a sauna and laundry service but you will be charged for them. I would absolutely recommend this place and stay there again!

My wife and I and our two teenage children really enjoyed our stay. The property was just as described and was very clean and cozy. Our favorite part was trying to figure out the very unique bird calls coming from the surrounding woods… sounded a lot like cats …. if you ever watched the movie “Up” , sounds just like that bird….. turns out they were peacocks as told to us by Alexander. Which we confirmed when we visited the Pairi-Daiza zoo, that had peacocks freely roaming around the zoo. One of the best zoos we have ever been to by the way and less than an hour from the loft, if you are a family looking for things to do. We also purchased three varieties of cider that Alexander and Anna- Marie make on the premises, all were terrific! My wife , who cannot tolerate Gluten, and cannot drink all the excellent Belgium beers, really enjoyed that. Would stay again if we ever make it back to Belgium from the US.

We had a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing stay. Kees is extremely friendly and welcoming. We were greeted upon arrival, we got clear instructions, and felt very comfortable. The countryside location had beautiful views, and we enjoyed saying hi to the chickens and their farm dog. The bathroom is bigger and more beautiful than our own. We look forward to staying again! Woo!
