We just spent one night here in transit to Montserrat, but found it an excellent choice on a limited budget. Good location for access to airport and St John’s. Just ten minutes walk to fantastically stocked First Choice Supermarket. Very clean, with all amenities considered. Lovely outdoor space out front where we enjoyed breakfast. What really made it for us was the hospitality shown by Shawn. This stretched advance recommendation of airport transfers taxi driver and favourite local restaurant, to booking the latter and even giving us a lift there when our arrival was delayed. Shawn gave us such a warm and genuine welcome and her husband Gregory even surprised us with some fresh fruit from His own garden to accompany our breakfast. Thank you Shawn for a brilliant experience

Stunning Carty’s Hill Studio

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay Cart's Hill Studio. The location was Beautiful, quiet, clean, and the cosiest bed to sleep as listed on the site... It is a lovely place for a relaxing vacation. The clear skies in the morning after a sun rise made it so much more enjoyable. Ruperta and the family made our stay a welcoming one. It's a 10 minute drive to Long Bay, one of the island most beautiful beaches to take a relaxing walk, snorkelling or a nice swim. Also located from the famous Devil's Bridge (site is quite amazing). The small village store and gas station made the location easy to locate. I enjoyed most of the days just sitting outside, reading my book, taking in some much needed fresh air on and hill side...(view was amazing). The vendors on the side of the road with the roast corn was a treat. Nothing in Antigua is far away, so getting around is easy.

Miss Kathleen greeted me with great kindness. Made me feel like family and made sure I had everything I needed. Very clean and equipped! Star, the cute protective family dog out back didn't interfere with me at all and I actually felt safer with him there. Location is approximately 15 mins drive from town and 20 mins from English Harbour. 30 mins from most beaches. The apartment is connected to the main house via a back shared room you have to pass through to exit. Sometimes Miss Kathleen and her husband have to use or pass through there. The kitchen windows with curtains and kitchen door with a dark tinted window face out into that back room. Doors all locked with keys. There is also a separate detached small home in the backyard where her son lives. This is all just to say that you are not completely locked off or isolated from seeing other people here if thats what you seek. Your bedroom and bathroom are definitely very private and lock as well. Nice overall

Hospitality at its best......Clean, Safe and Private, exactly what I wanted. Fully equipped kitchen, lots of linens, Air conditioner was on point. Location was absolutely perfect, amazing restaurants around the corner, beach only a 3 mins drive away. Host was very flexible with my checking out since I had a later flight. I would highly recommend Goldine and Whitfield's home for your next trip....

We had a fantastic week with the friendly, helpful Lorrayne, a mine of local information and advice, as well as always being ready for a laugh. The views from her spotlessly clean apartment looking over English Harbour, with the edge of the rainforest behind you, are simply stunning. It was very well priced for Antigua, too. We would love to return. Highly recommended.

Loved my stay here! As my first time in Antigua Garolyn went above and beyond to provide a welcoming atmosphere. The place was cozy, spacious, clean, and beautiful. The view was gorgeous as well, with great spots for food and beaches nearby. The host was also very responsive and helpful throughout my entire trip. I would definitely recommend staying here, and I would love to be back again soon!

Our family enjoyed our stay at this place. Nathan is an amazing host, always available and ready to help. The house was spacious enough for 4 people, the beds are comfortable, kitchen well equipped for cooking family meals. The people in the area are super friendly and nice, we felt very safe. Big thanks for the late check-out!

Ernie's place is a modern modest stay in a village on the main road. It was clean and appealing when we entered. It has the ambience of a home and not a hotel (which I certainly appreciated). The host was approachable and friendly which added to the ease of our stay. If you are interested in experiencing small village life without the overwhelming hotel feel, this is the place to stay. It may just become my home away from home.
