Villa vacation rentals in Anse La Raye

We had an amazing holiday at Story Villa in Canaries. The location is peaceful and idyllic, with spectacular ocean/sunset views from the balcony. The villa is excellent value. We felt at home there, with Claudia and her mum next door, who were welcoming and caring for our needs. We ate out at Claudia’s Kitchen on 3 occasions. She made us very welcome, it was a magical experience on my birthday supper. We hired a car from Jackson who met us at the airport and drove us back. He’s a lovely local guy and very cheerful, with good tips on places to visit during our stay. Mandy catered promptly for of our needs, arranging delivery of a new gas bottle for the cooker and turning on the electric for the shower. We loved Ti Kaye beach resort and shopping in Soufrieres. We also enjoyed Castries local market on Saturday morning and the rum distillery tour. Also Pigeon Island beach to name a few favourites. The village itself was fascinating, unspoilt and very friendly locals.

What a wonderful stay. We were met in town by Jonathan, whose car we then followed up to the villa, as it is not an easy drive. Jonathan was an integral part of our trip -- extremely responsive with concerns (bringing extra power adapters for those of us that didn't prepare well, helping with a suitcase problem and finding us an extra to take home), providing recommendations (where to eat, getting a guide for hiking the Pitons), and so friendly. The home itself was stunning and peaceful. Beautiful views that just did not get old, clean, and spacious. A housekeeper came every other day to clean and replace towels/linens which was an added plus. We loved swimming in the pool as well as being able to enjoy Anse Chastanet resort as guests and received excellent service all around. Would most certainly stay here again! No laundry or dishwasher. The animals/insects are loud at night -- bring ear plugs if you like silence when sleeping!

I can't say enough about our stay here. First, Soufriere is a great city to stay in St. Lucia. It is at the center of everything we wanted to do. Second, the property itself is amazing. Having breakfast on the patio while enjoying the view is an amazing way to start the day. Ending the day with a dip in the pool and a view of the Pitons was perfect. The property itself is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. However, the number one advantage of staying at one of Janus' properties is the team that comes with it. They are what took our stay in St. Lucia from great to amazing. Jeda worked with us to create an itinerary that covered everything we wanted to do while maximizing our time. Malik safely got us everywhere we needed to be, answered our endless questions, and taught us much about St Lucia. I'm sure there are many properties on St Lucia that are adequate, but Janus' team make his properties memorable.

Janus and team were amazing hosts - very responsible to scheduling activities/chefs/taxi rides and would suggest leveraging them to assist with your planning. They arranged transportation from the airport (roads are pretty hairy), recommended activities, coordinated a chef, arranged taxi's and restaurant reservations. Excellent service! The house itself is beautiful and the views are as well. If you really care about full air conditioning, you should note that the AC is only in the bedrooms but we found using the floor fans in the common areas made the common areas just fine and we spend most of our days outside exploring so it was never an issue for us. I would definitely come back....amazing trip!

We stayed at a few different places during our trip to St. Lucia, Keith's was by far the best. House was beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool and loungers most late afternoons and had breakfast everyday and some dinners on the deck. The landscaping is amazing and the grounds keeper that comes around is super friendly. The rental vehicle available with the property is perfect for the local roads. Short drive down to Anse Chastanet where there's 2 beautiful beaches, a dive shop and good restaurants, seen them release baby turtles one day when we were there. 10 min drive to the town of Soufriere for groceries and access to all the surrounding activities, the road to and from town is narrow and hilly but easily doable. Property manager Damian was very helpful and Keith was quick to respond to all my questions while I was booking and after while I was firming up the final details of the trip. We had an amazing stay at Treehouse Villa 11!!

The views from this place are terrific and the house is bigger than it looks. Plenty of room for our group of six, and the high ceilings make the house seem extra spacious. Adeline's Art Cafe across the street is perfect for juice and coffee, and we ordered one breakfast and one dinner in advance. Claudia's Kitchen is a five-minute walk down the hill (completely unmarked), where we also ordered dinner in advance -- a highlight of the week. Canaries, a ten-minute walk down the hill, is the real St Lucia, but it has no restaurants or grocery stores. Marcus's kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware but only salt and sugar, so stock up on groceries in Soufriere before arrival. Marcus was very helpful about arranging drivers (Ti Kaye was great) but a little slow responding to our messages -- avg. of four hours, acc. to the app. Overall a great base for adventurous travelers who can handle St Lucia's rough roads.

We loved our stay at La Batterie. The setting and view are perfect. We just wished we had stayed for longer. Mike provided a plethora of information about the villa, activities and the local areas, and also organised our transfer. La Batterie’s staff Stephanie, Bibi, Terry and BK looked after us so well. Stephanie’s cooking was delicious, I am missing itnow we’re home.

Our 6 nights with our group of four found Jonathon’s place spacious, comfortable with a fantastic outlook from the living area over the forest and out to sea. Jonathon was extremely personable and we found him approachable, friendly and willing to help us out with his local knowledge. A hire car is an advantage to enable you the freedom to explore this beautiful island. An added bonus is Adeline’s art cafe so close.
