Beautiful Home and very responsive host

This house is located in a beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and relaxing village. Every window has a different view, each more stunning than the last. The house is super comfortable, and the host was really kind and friendly. We had a lovely stay!

Wow! Perfect place for our family of four. The house was cozy and comfortable, kitchen and bathroom were nice size and finish. The property its self was so beautiful with such an idyllic backyard leading down to the fun and cozy boathouse where we hung out playing cards and enjoying the beautiful summer evening. The beach area was fun to explore. Quiet area, free from the traffic and crowds of Lofoten, beautiful mountains around and a few beaches up and down the road. Wish we had stayed longer! Can’t wait to come back and relax here again!

The place is absolutely terrific. Very modernly furnished and with a breathtaking view of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. You feel right at home. Jann-Olav is a great host. Always available and helpful. We had great ski touring days. You can reach most of the great tours in a maximum of 20 minutes. With binoculars you can see the peaks from the terrace. We can recommend this place without reservation. We'll be back for sure.

Gry is a very welcoming and friendly host. He kindly lent us his boat to go fishing in the fjord opposite the house. Many appliances are available in the house as well as very good kitchen knives. The house is quite lovely. We recommend staying in Gry's home.

We loved staying in this beautiful house next to a stunning white sand beach with amazing views. Highly recommended.

We can only agree with the good reviews of the other guests. The cottage is very lovingly decorated and really cozy, feel-good factor very high. House fully equipped, everything is actually available. Great kitchen invites you to cook, the coffee maker makes an excellent coffee, it's fun to just linger in the house, enough space, large dining table, fireplace, as beautiful as in the pictures. We rarely slept so well on our vacations, very comfortable beds. Everything very clean. An ideal location for nature-loving, very quiet and yet very close to refueling, shop and shopping in Sortland. Very central to explore Vesteralen. Close to the lake, a beautiful mountain panorama with clear skies. With Therese and Ron, despite the bad weather, we spent 4 beautiful winter tales days, you would love to stay. We highly recommend this place, it's definitely one of the best. My friends and I wanted to spend a quiet few days relaxing with access to a hot tub. It's snowed almost non-stop and we hardly left the house. It was super cosy, warm, quiet and perfect. We saw sea eagles and reindeer from the door every day. Hans showed us how to use the hot tub on the first night and we enjoyed sitting in it, in the snow each day/night. We did get a glimpse of the NL but it was sadly cloudy the whole time. The icing in the cake was when Hans came and brought us some freshly caught Cod. An extremely welcome surprise which we had for dinner that night. Delicious and very appreciated. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Had the pleasure of being here for the weekend. Very nice host, very flexible and friendly. The apartment was really nice, clean and had a lovely view. We couldn't have had a better time here and will probably be back. The host was available on message and responded quickly when we had questions. Thanks for a great weekend!

We spent three wonderful days on Skogsøya. The house, although not traditional in style, was superbly positioned overlooking the sea and the neighbouring islands. The huge picture windows give an ever changing view that in real life are much better than the photos. We walked the coast road and several of the footpaths some of which climb hills behind the house and offer views over Vesterålen. You can hike to the north coast, but it gets very boggy beyond the big lake. Check the ferry timetable before travelling and if you arrive on a Sunday remember to do your shopping the day before! We would wholeheartedly recommend staying in Anders place on this magical island.

Beautiful place, stayed here for 1,5 weeks, saw lots of eagles, moose and reindeer, all within 15min of the house. Even saw otters swim by from the house one morning. It has beautiful sea view and the host is very nice. Was also enjoying the ping pong table next door! Hike starts right out the back door and many other hikes in the area. Recommended!

Wonderful and cozy voyage in the middle of the woods. Roger was very attentive and brought us wood and fuel as many times as we needed it. Very attentive host and very special house for a very authentic experience.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the property. The positioning of the home allows for inside viewing of the Northern Lights. We also were treated to a NL performance in the spa! If you are looking to relax and seek calm, this is your place.

Lovely home in such a beautiful location! I agree with another reviewer that the photos online do not fully do the home or peaceful surroundings justice. The inside was cozy, bright and clean. The outside had so many amenities including a boat, kayak, SUPs, hot tub and barbecue. There were multiple outside areas to sit, relax and enjoy the amazing view. Steinar and Sissel were so kind, even buying some groceries for us before our arrival since the supermarket was closed on Sundays. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again … highly recommend!

We stayed 9 days in April for cross-country skiing at Trond's and had a great time. The location was perfect for us, with good trails, Lofoten, Harstad and Narvik within easy reach. With moose and northern lights we had an unforgettable week.

Fantastic place - recommended!

We unfortunately never met Trude, we would have liked to, she made the house ready for us (the cabin is well off the main road so even if it's the basics of hospitality, the details were very appreciated), well light on in the evening when we arrived, warm and with plenty of firewood to have the right atmosphere. As I said the cabin is located half an hour from the main artery E10, but even for us that had to explore the island by car all the time due to coming in March with much snow, returning each day to the cabin was a very nice trip in the Tengelfjord. The house was tidy and left the feeling of being home. extremely cozy with a stunning view on the bay to the Norwegian ocean, peaceful and with all the necessary for our stay. Notable mention is also the iron firepit on the deck which we couldn't take advantage of but would surely be awesome to use in the late spring/summer frisky evenings. If we get back to Lofoten we would like to stay in this place again.
