If you are looking for something inexpensive, Close to the airport, basic, clean and safe while staying in Port Blair then Andaman Woods is just the place for you. My friend and I had a lot planned for our trip so all we needed was a nice clean n centrally locates place and that’s when we came across Andaman woods. It is hardly 10 minutes away from the airport and run by a retired banker along with his daughter who helps with the booking etc of the place. It is a newly constructed building and the staff are very helpful at all times. They helped us with all our bookings be it the ferry, day trips to different islands, cabs/ auto bookings , aipport pick and drop etc. while we were planning our trip Nidhi was very responsive to all our texts and calls. She not only clarified our questions about our stay with them but also guided us with our planning. The amenities are very basic and were perfect for what we wanted .. the food is very homely, the room and overall building cleanliness is maintained continuously, they have wifi (not very fast but that’s the same anywhere in A&N) and have hot water geysers in every room. Overall we loved our stay there and felt very welcome and at home the whole time. We highly recommend Andaman woods and will defiantly be returning to stay with them on our next trip. Big thank you to Nidhi and her dad for helping make our trip a memorable one !

Good food, great local tips and good management for local bookings

We were ten friends from Bangalore and Chennai visiting Andaman for New Years. While every hotel stay was exploiting the peak season, Riza gave us a very reasonable price and more than its value in the quality and warmth they radiated while hosting us. It was an amazing and comfortable stay. She kept the communication clear right from day one , helping us with local sight seeing and commuting, being extra nice in providing us an additional room for our comfort. The complimentary breakfast was a touch of home that just made the vacation perfect. The caretaker is also extremely patient and caters to every request politely. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and would recommend this stay for everyone.

It was a really good experience and Riza and her family made it felt like home away from home. They were very warm and helping hosts. The place is well located , rooms are clean and good with a balcony with a nice view. Riza also helped us to arrange the local guides and cabs, not only in Port Blair, but also in Havelock and Neil island. A unique feature of this place was the shooting range, for those who want to add this experience to their bucket list. It's the only shooting range in Port Blair, and the experience had been amazing.
