A little bit of Australian tranquility only 11kms from Melbourne CBD and a 19km drive from Melbourne Airport. Free street parking always available. A 1.5km walk to trams giving easy access to some of Melbourne's coolest inner city northern suburbs - Fitzroy, Northcote, Brunswick. Longer stays considered on enquiry.

The Garden Apartment

Spacious renovated apartment in the garden behind our 19th century Victorian house with its own entrance along the side path. Close to several parks, swimming pool/gym/tennis complex, and Queens Parade shopping strip. The neighbourhood is 4 km from the Melbourne CBD, and 100 meters from 86 tram to city and train station, and bus line along Hoddle Street. All this provides easy access to city, MCG, Rugby Stadium, Tennis Centre, Theatres and NGV. We are empty nesters with a kelpie dog, Peppy.

The Stables, Fitzroy Nth - spacious, light filled

A uniquely Melbourne experience - perfect for an extended (or short) stay. The Stables were originally built in 1880 for the horses that serviced the Victorian home they are situated behind. The Stables have been converted into a spacious, sun-lit, private, fully self-contained accommodation over 2 levels with a shared garden and independent access (allowing you to come and go as you please). This beautiful studio is located in the garden of my property down a path at the side of the main house. It is fully self-contained, renovated and fully furnished with a large private deck and it's own private garden. The studio is fully insulated, has a split system heater/ air conditioner, washing machine, TV, good Internet, dining table and stools, comfortable couch, and a super comfortable high quality queen sized bed. It has a kitchenette and separate bathroom.

If you're looking for 5 star luxury, and marble bathrooms...then 'Patricia' isn't the place for you! What you will love is the welcoming and inviting spaces. My mum 'Patricia' was pretty quirky, and so is this whimsical place. 100 years old, and an Alphington institution...this adorable shopfront is one of the areas most loved and iconic buildings. The interior is warm and spacious, with plenty of room to rest or work, and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
