Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Aljezur

Nina’s place was fantastic for a lovely family holiday. The house was very well equipped and the swimming pool was lovely. We spent most days at the local beach, which whilst was down the hill, was a nice walk and dint take long at all. Overall a fantastic property and location.

Bereits als wir die Auffahrt zum Haus rauffuhren, das üppige grün sahen und die Vögel zwitschern hörten, wussten wir: Hier ist es gut. Und als wir dann die verspielte Veranda sahen und in die heimelige Stube mit schönem Schwedenofen eintraten, war es um uns geschehen. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an pudelwohl. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet, Holz zum Anfeuern konnten wir jederzeit selbst holen, das Haus war sauber und ordentlich, die hauseigenen Eier vorzüglich und die Gastgeber warmherzig, freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Ausserdem haben die Gastgeber einen sensiblen Umgang mit den natürlichen (und knappen) Ressourcen der Umgebung, was wir löblich und äusserst wichtig finden. Rund ums Haus gibt es schöne Spazierwege, die beeindruckendsten Strände sind mit dem Auto in nur 10-20 Min erreichbar. Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowie leckeres selbstgebackenes Brot gibt es in der Umgebung einige. Vielen Dank, Heike und Klaus, wir kommen wieder!

very well priced for what you get which is a spacious 2 bed traditional portuguese house with 2 onsuite shower rooms with an extra guest toilet. kitchen and dining area is spacious with a wonderful log burner to keep us warm during the evenings as the house is a bit chilly in the evenings. The backyard garden is a huge plus here especially at night. On a clear night the skies are amazing and the aquatic sounds at night is something special indeed. a truly memorable experience.

Excelente casa para passar uns dias perto da praia, com miúdos. A piscina é muito boa, e a casa esta super bem equipada. Voltaremos!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Joao ist ein super Gastgeber und immer gut für Tipps und eine nette Unterhaltung, dabei aber überhaupt nicht aufdringlich. Der Check in war sehr flexibel und die Anreise etwas abenteuerlich (durch den Dauerregen war die Einfahrt unterspühlt, mittlerweile aber wieder behoben). Die Wohnung war traumhaft, die Lage wunderschön und sehr ruhig. Ca. 20 Autos pro Tag fahren durch das Tal. Wer Ruhe und Erholung in der Natur sucht ist hier richtig. Die meisten Strände sind in 20 min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Insgesamt ein wundervoller Urlaub

Hands down the most exquisite place we have ever stayed at. Absolutely beautiful building,really nice homey feel. So much thought I think went I to the fixtures the fittings. So peaceful, we could just hear a local family's chickens in the morning,and grasshoppers at night. Right next to hiking trials , we did a 15km circular trail to a beach down directly from the house. Shops and restaurants a 10 min drive away in Aljezur. You would need a car (we visited in February, this might not be the case if you travel during "high season"). Also,do bring a jumper, due to the open-plan nature of the building (which I loved!), it can get chilly at night. However, wool blankets are available. I highly recommend, would l8ve to return some day.

Wir waren im März 2025 für 8 Tage in Aljezur. Die Unterkunft war mit dem Kamin wirklich super gemütlich, was auch wichtig war, da es leider fast die gesamte Zeit geregnet hat. Bei 10 - 12 Grad Außentemperatur und starkem Wind vom Meer haben zwei Radiatoren für die Schlafzimmer und die Klimaanlage als Heizung im Wohnraum das Haus genügend geheizt. Durch den außergewöhnlich starken Regen hat es leider an zwei oder drei Stellen leicht von der Decke getropft. Den schönen Hinterhof und die Dachterrasse haben wir wegen des schlechten Wetter leider nicht nutzen können.

Sympathisches Minihaus mit stilvoller Einrichtung und wunderbarem Ausblick. An kühlen (auch feuchten) Abenden hat der Holzifen wohlige Wärme verbreitet. Andries und Femke wohnen etwas oberhalb am Hügel und sind angenehme Gastgeber. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Great apartments within beautiful mountain range. It was really peaceful and the host were very friendly. Great place for a tranquil family stay.

We absolutely loved this place! We had a warm welcome to our clean and cozy apartment and then fully enjoyed the beautiful surroundings with very nice beaches and villages nearby. We started planning our next (longer) stay here even before we left. Our children also loved it and most definitely want to come back. So if you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful, friendly, fun and relaxing place to stay - look no further!

It's a lovely studio apartment with everything a person needs for a stay. Hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. It's in a quiet street right in the middle of the village. Highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft ist großartig, alles ist sehr ordentlich und es wurde auf jedes Detail geachtet. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet und der Ausblick ist ein Traum. Nur einpaar Minuten vom Strand entfernt. Einfach schön. Sehr gerne wieder :)

Wir haben unseren Familienurlaub mit zwei kleinen Kindern (3+1) in Pedros Apartment verbracht. Das Apartment entsprach den Fotos, es war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Garten und Innenhof waren super für die Kinder zum Spielen. Besonders gefallen hat uns die schöne Aussicht ins Grüne von der Terrasse/Garten aus. Pedro war sehr gut erreichbar und immer hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, vielen Dank!

Unser Aufenthalt bei Joel, Fernanda und Amândio war sehr schön, wundervolle Gastgeber und ruhige Umgebung, sehr angenehme Unterkunft, mit allem was man braucht. Wir durften uns vom Garten Tomaten und Paprika nehmen. Der Ort mit sehr netten Restaurants und Cafe's sowie tolle Strände sind innerhalb weniger Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Gutes Wandergebiet! Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very clean and warm/not humid as most of the apartments in Aljezur. We could enjoy the pool, the garden and we could see a bit of the ocean from the balcony. We didn’t miss anything in the kitchen nor for the kids (baby bed, baby chair). Thanks Carla for a great communication!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Villa Machado! Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich gut, fußläufig über die Dünen ist man schnell am Praia Amoreira oder in Monte Clérigo, beides sehr gute Surfspots. Mit kleinen Kindern (und viel Geraffel) ist man in 2 Autominuten am Strand. Die Villa Machado ist hell, geschmackvoll eingerichtet/hergerichtet und bietet großzügig Platz. Wir waren zwei Familien und jeder hatte genug Raum für sich. Das Haus erwartete uns in sehr sauberem Zustand, wir fühlten uns direkt wohl. Die Witterung war Anfang Oktober schon sehr herbstlich, teilweise sehr neblig und regnerisch und das spürten wir auch deutlich im Haus. Ein Luftentfeuchter steht dafür bereit, trotz dessen sieht man der Villa an (und spürt es auch in den Räumen), das sie ständig hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit ausgesetzt ist. Alles in allem war es sehr schön und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Heel fijn huis met mooie tuin en verfrissend zwembad. Van alle gemakken voorzien en met meer dan genoeg ruimte. We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in een prachtige omgeving met mooie stranden en midden in de natuur.

Absolutely lovely stay. The villa itself was beautifully presented, being light, airy and extremely clean. The host was fantastic and comms were excellent. The villa itself is brilliantly situated, just a short 10 minute walk to the ocean cliffside and cafes. Surfboards, wetsuits and bikes can be rented inexpensively from a company 2 minutes walk away called Arrifana Adventure. In all, a fantastic experience. Thanks for having us!

AMAZING PLACE! We loved staying here. Three younger kids, aged 7, 9, and 12 were in heaven. Easy all around, really tastefully decorated and organized. Everything you need for a lovely and carefree stay. Awesome beaches close by, supermarkets and cool shops in Aljezur too. Christin was super friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come again!

Couldn’t have found a more perfect place to stay - unbelievable sunsets, short walk to the beach and restaurants, beautifully furnished and clean. We will be back again soon and thank you so much.

Andrew foi sempre muito colaborante. Tivemos um problema com o frigorífico e vieram de imediato para resolver. O espaço tinha ping pong, raquetes, bola etc tudo o que faz uma criança feliz. O espaço é grande e confortável..

We had an amazing stay at Jinny's place. The villa has an amazing pool and beautiful garden. It was well equipped and pristine. We would definitely recommend and would go again. The villa is close a big shop and many beautiful beaches. 10/10

We stayed with 7 adults, 1 baby and 1 dog and had a great time. The house had a lot of space for us, very cosy living room, and the kitchen had everything we could wish for. We stayed for about a week and very much enjoyed the wood fired stove in the living room (especially during the colder days of our stay in March), the spacious garden with bbq and the many seating possibilities. The host was very responsive and welcoming. The house was also very clean and in great shape. Location is in a very calm area which we also appreciated a lot. A bakery is in walking distance so we had always fresh croissants and bread in the house. We would definitely book the place again and I can only recommend it.
