Family-friendly vacation rentals in Alamo Heights

The love shack was perfect for a weekend away! We grilled, enjoyed the hot tub, relaxed by the fire ring and on the back porch with gorgeous views. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed, from fire wood for the fire ring to k cups for the coffee pot, and lots of clean towels. We came down for a motorcycle rally, and scenic rides, but this was such a perfect little cabin, that we will absolutely be back. The host was thorough with the instructions, and super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We were secluded but not too far from grocery stores or restaurants, they were just a little drive away. The bed was SO comfortable too, we both slept great! We had a wonderful time here at the love shack, and can’t wait to come back.

Such an incredible stay! A true gem. The pics and description don’t do the home its full justice. Perched above Helotes, Julia’s place was peaceful and picture perfect. I was in town for a (relatively) quick business trip and this was the perfect spot to relax at the end of a few busy days. I didn’t have time to enjoy the pool area but it looked spectacular. Would absolutely stay here again.

WOW! This Hacienda style dwelling was exactly what we wanted to stay at in San Antonio.Absolutely gave you the flavor we needed to make our visit authentic feeling.Having a great Mexican restaurant( El Chaparral )a mile away was a bit of magic also. Pool is large & rooms were cozy.Details were obvious everywhere.Thank You so much for the memories.

We loved Malibu Ranch! Our kids loved the pool and the pool table— it was very peaceful and beautiful. We look forward to staying here again

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Jason’s house was a great location, close to the Alamo and Riverwalk. We traveled to Six Flags and Seaworld, each about 20mins away. The pool and hot tub were definitely the highlights of our stay. Jason was very friendly and responsive.

We loved staying here! The location was perfect (we were able to walk to so many things!), and it was so nice to come back to the private hot tub after a day of exploring! The hosts were extremely friendly, responsive, and put a lot of thought into making our stay comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! The rental unit was extremely clean, well-kept, and up-to-date. The beds were very comfortable, we slept so well! If we are ever in the area again, this will be our place for sure!

This home was perfect! Was exactly what we needed. Great kitchen and the outdoor space was the best. The host was very responsive. The neighborhood was gated and felt safe.

Jennifer was a great host in responsiveness and being attentive. The place was just what our family needed and the back yard is a huge plus for pets! Highly recommend if your staying in San Antonio.

This spot is just a couple of short blocks away from a lot of cool spots in San Antonio. Plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. Fencing and the landscaping keep it pretty private event though it’s in the middle of the city.

Fun and comfortable place that is convenient to many attractions. Super nice neighborhood.

I have stayed here about 4 or 5 times over the years and it’s always my favorite Airbnb to stay at in San Antonio! Once again it was so clean and comfortable! This place always makes us happy with our trip!

The place is very comfortable and is located in a quiet neighborhood. Pete was always very kind, he and his dad helped us a lot in our stay. I would definitely stay in their place again.

Lee's place was great!! It's walking distance from The Pearl District, and very close to The Alamo and the Riverwalk! The place was attractive and clean. Lee was also very responsive to my texts! For information purposes: It's a three story condo. This is not an ideal place for anyone with mobility issues. My family and I had am overall great experience!

We wanted an Airbnb with a pool for the weekend and that’s exactly what we got. Thank goodness for a heated pool, it was great!

This is a great place to get away. The house had perfect amenities. The linens were extremely comfortable and everything was clean. The dipping pool was fabulous and perfect size. The location is ideal for all the things around town. Steve and Cindi was very sweet and easy to talk too. The only thing I could say is that the ac unit did not blow very well. Besides that, everything was great.

This was our second visit to the River House and once again, it was a treat! We just LOVE this home. The decor is so vibing! Very…eclectic? Bohemian? Perfect, for our family. There are only two possible drawbacks to be aware of: both bathrooms are only accessible through a bedroom and aside from one king bed, all the rest are twin beds. We love San Antonio and are so glad we’ve found the River House to use as our “base”!!

We had an amazing stay. Very nice and peaceful location. Easy to get around from. Perfect little piece of heaven. Definitely a place I would recommend and stay at again. Hosts were amazing at check in and were helpful with recommendations.

Great Stay! Everything was as described, and the host was wonderful. Very organized and communication was the best! Comfortable beds, lots of room for our party of 4, and it would accommodate a larger group easily. It is obvious that the host takes pride in the property and wants the guests to have a wonderful stay, which we did. Would highly recommend.

We have stayed here multiple times and have always enjoyed the beautiful and relaxing house and outdoor setting. We feel right at home. There is plenty of space and a kitchen with all the appliances and tools that you might need. Although we really only make breakfast as there are lots of great restaurants and take out places in San Antonio. Perfect Hosts!

Ollie and Paula were fantastic hosts, so friendly and helpful. Our family really enjoyed our stay and all the area had to offer. Unfortunately we had a very quick trip with a lot to do in a short time. I wish we had more downtime to enjoy the Airbnb and everything it had to offer. My family loved playing pickleball and there was a great selection of DVDs and board games for quiet time. The kids loved the pool. It really felt like home for a few days.
