Friendly family hostel with super Nilblick! The Hofni-Palace is a friendly, family-run small apartment house with 5 apartments. From the balconies of the two upper apartments to the main street, you have a wonderful view of the Nile. I had the apartment on the top right: 2 bedrooms, each with its own balcony, kitchen, bathroom and living room with balcony to the side. All rooms are spacious. The bathroom has a boiler, so you can still shower warm even during the power outages in Luxor (about 2 hours/day). I was in Luxor in January where the temperatures can drop to about 10° at night. However, the apartment also remained sufficiently warm without heating. Tayea is the owner and manager of Hofni Palace. He organized tours for me and partly also did his own car. I felt very comfortable with him and his British partner, Margaret. Tip: Tayea exchanges your euros for significantly better rates than the banks / ATMs!

good safe area. short walk to restaurants, supermarket & ATM. 5 minute walk to marina to get water taxi to East side of Luxor.

It is a very new and clean house with two bedrooms, many people can stay, and the host is very nice to pick us up and drop us off at the station, and I was happy to book a hot air balloon for us.

My sister and I had an amazing time in Luxor. The stay was gorgeous but what especially stood out was the tour guides. Mohamed and Ta ensured we had an amazing time and an authentic experience. They were the sweetest people! Couldn’t recommend them more!!

Shehab was a very responsive host and even helped us in getting currency exchanged at a short notice. The house is very good with all the necessary amenities.

The place is very quite and private. With a big terrace and beautiful garden with flowers and cat. Everything was clean and Hassan is very nice and friendly. Only walk for 10min to get to port, Highly recommend!!!

This place is absolutely gorgeous! It really captures the beauty and magic of Luxor. On top of the accommodations the host fed us the best food we’ve had in Egypt. Ahmed is super friendly and very accommodating and even ran to the store to pick up cold medicine when I told him I wasn’t feeling well. The host really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Elnopy, is so helpful and communicative, if there where any small issues he was right there to make them better. The location is great plenty of amenities but a quiet street. We were so comfortable we extended our stay!

Friendly and dedicated host. He has a very high understanding of the Luxor area, and you can hear interesting stories about ancient Egypt that you can't read in books. The view from the house is very nice, and at dawn you can take pictures with the wonderful scenery of Bolun Tour. All the furniture is newly purchased, and they try to accommodate guests' requests as much as possible. The host is also a local guide, and you can get a variety of recommendations and professional knowledge. Fluent in English, so no problem communicating

Thank you Mohamed Sayed, the stay was spectacular we really enjoyed the pool and how well located the place a few meters from the Majestic Nile River. The valley of the kings is easily accessed so having chosen this Airbnb was very successful. Also very happy with the facilities very large and comfortable rooms with air conditioning, very well equipped kitchen with all the amenities. I had an amazing stay at Mohamed's place. Host is friendly, helpful and responsive. From the check in to planning some trips around Luxor. The place is very peaceful and private, has a terrace on the roof with an amazing view of the Nile and other surroundings. I would recommend this place for others as well as I would definitely come back there in the future

Our stay was perfect all around! The place was spotlessly clean and fully equipped – everything you needed was there (e.g. toilet paper, soap, etc.). The host was absolutely outstanding: extremely friendly, always available and incredibly helpful. He assisted us in booking tours without ripping us off, and was always there to help. Especially nice: While we were by the pool, he brought us fresh fruits from his own garden – a loving gesture that we greatly appreciated. In a medical emergency, he immediately helped us professionally thanks to his training as a doctor – we are very grateful to him for that. The place is in a very safe area, we felt comfortable at all times. The water pressure in the shower was also great – a small but fine detail. We have also personally taken the host to heart. Clear recommendation – we'd come back anytime!

Badawi promptly responded to my advance questions re: the best time to arrive, how I can go to his listing to check in, how he can show me where to go for shopping and food, how I can have my things sent to me, how my rental is private, how he will let the employees know not to bother me, and anything else I needed such as the wonderful free breakfast, WiFi, etc. When my plane landed, I texted Badawi as we discussed prior to my arrival, and he gave me clear directions on how to take the taxi to the ferry with the few things I had brought on the plane, then met me at the ferry dock, carried my things to his car, and chauffeured me the rest of the beautiful way to the rental. The place was better than expected. Rarely have I felt so at home!! He had a working refrigerator with some welcome fruit in it, showed me how to open the balcony doors for air or just sunshine, and then let me stay in peace unless I needed anything, at which time he responded very well and professionally.

We had a great time at Abdul’s place! It was a gorgeous part of Luxor and Abdul was very friendly and helpful. He is well-connected in the local community and has great recommendations for activities, and he is very knowledgeable about Egyptian history.
