Vintage Cottage Standard Room

We had an excellent stay. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a terrace overlooking the garden and lake. The environment is very peaceful in the morning and evening and lively in the afternoon. We enjoyed the sauna, which was very pleasant, as well as the restaurant. Kami and his team were always available and friendly. We recommend it and hope to return soon.

The home in lake Muhazi is a true gem. Gorgeous and expansive grounds, stunning views, well manicured landscaping, and comfortable rooms. Beautiful walking trail down to the lake. I felt completely at home and highly recommend this incredible place.

Immersive Tent Camp 7 km to Akagera National Park

JasmeetRating, 5 stars18 months ago
This is an accommodation and experience tied into one! If you want to experience true rural living in this part of Rwanda, John is the person to stay with. John was a responsive host from the start. I communicated with him days before arriving. He was able to answer any questions I had about directions and gave the best local advice on how to not be overcharged. If you're here for the national park, you're in luck because he worked there for 10 years and can answer any questions about that too. I had fresh local coffee each morning and a homecooked lunch and dinner. The campsite is actually a children's foundation (John is the founder), so on weekdays you will wake up to local children running and playing. They love to interact with guests and were a complete joy. Note: This is a rural, camping experience. There is little Wifi and cellular networks, so be prepared. John is also very helpful and will recommend or take you to places where you can easily get access.

Helen is truly a gem! From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us with open arms and made us feel completely at home. She’s such a kind and warm-hearted woman, and we were so grateful for the way she accommodated us during our two-night stay. The highlight of our visit was the beautiful conversation we shared with her it felt like talking with an old friend. My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay, and we’ll always remember the comfort and care we experienced in Helen’s home. Thank you, Helen, for everything!❤️🙏

Perfect accomodation for visiting Akagera National Park. Our host Alexis was very friendly, gives a tour of village and help with us our problems with lost luggage at the airport. We highly recommend this accomodation.
