House rentals in Ajijic

Casa de Jake: Private Pool, A Hikers Dream.
It was one of the most beautiful and relaxing weekends we had. In the large bed you sleep very well and this shower is a dream. Everything is very clean and you feel very comfortable and safe. The best part is the private pool. It is such a luxury and we were able to recharge a lot and recover. A really nice house with lots of details and a great host. I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you

House for rent, short or long term
It was a great overall experience, would definitely recommend!

Pool House 311
Valerie takes care of every detail, from the outdoor shower, armchair and hammock by the pool, speakers, climate, wifi, the kitchen with everything you need and the bar on the terrace equally equipped, in addition to the view I loved every place I saw, beautiful to spend time with family

Luxurious residence with the best view of the private estate
Excellent place to get out of the routine and spend time with the family, everything is very clean, easy to get to, good communication. The pool is 10/10. Everything is very nice !

"QUINTA PAOLA" Ajijic, Jalisco.
Very nice house, excellent for family coexistence, super well my communication with Fer, very attentive and flexible, 100% recommended !!

Gorgeous Cozy House inside a Condo
Ana has a beautiful home which has been accessible for my wheelchair based father and elderly mother, with all flat entrances and accessible showers and no stairs which can be a rarity in Mexico especially Ajijic. This is the third occasion my parents have stayed with her due to their comfort with the space. It is well decorated, modern and comfortable. Ana was proactive in providing entry instructions making it easy for my folks with their early AM arrival. We had a few miscommunications due to myself personally not having the airbnb app installed during the stay and some linguistic overlaps, but she resolved any of our concerns promptly and was very reasonable with any solutions or accommodations. It is on the pricier side for Ajijic, but offered unique value for our situation and needs. It is not a central location to downtown but peaceful, welcoming and comfortable especially if you spend more time at the Airbnb. Bring your own streaming logins for movies etc Recommend overall

Cozy Casita in Central Ajijic
A pleasant place, with space and various amenities that are appreciated to have a pleasant stay.

Casa Cuba - Spectacular lake and mountain view
Casa Cuba was beautiful. The view is incredible and pool is so refreshing. The house is huge, had a great grill and kitchen. The upstairs refrigerator made hanging out all day in the pool so easy. Elsa and her team recommended so many good things and were so friendly. Our whole group had the best time.

"Los Tulipanes" Apartment
was perfect. Tony is fantastic. I will back soon. Thank you Tony

Right in the center of town! Casa Betty 2 bedrooms
The apartment is very nice and super well maintained, you feel right at home…. Both rooms have air conditioning and that makes you sleep wonderfully. Superbly located one block away from the main park.

Stunning Lake View Condo Ajijic
The apartment is beautiful, it has everything you need to have an amazing time, very clean. I liked the location. The only thing is that the pool is freezing, it's not used to the fullest, but there is a jacuzzi that helped balance it out because there were almost no people. When all the apartments are occupied, I hope they put heating in the pool to take advantage of it.

Enjoy A/C in the Queen's Suite at Inn Ajijic
"The Queen's Suite" is well named. It featured the most spectacular looking and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on, beautiful brick detailing in the walls and ceiling, and a striking chandelier and artwork. And thanks to the tall balcony windows--architecturally interesting in their own right--I woke to lush greenery every morning and could listen to birdsong every late afternoon. I stayed a week during the wet season, so I relaxed to the nightly sound of rainstorms. (Make sure you close the windows!) I also appreciated the A/C, given the humid August weather. I would definitely stay there again. And Harold was a great host. Ask him about the mural on the exterior wall!

Cozy apartment
Excellent place. Nice location. Clean.

Beautiful view of Lake Chapala. Private rooftop.
The place is super quiet, ideal for relaxing. It was clean, it had everything you needed to avoid leaving the place. The internet reception was a bit slow but it's understandable for the area, we never ran out of internet, it was just a bit slow. From then on, everything was excellent, the local workers were super friendly and Viviana was very attentive. I would definitely come back 🙌🏼

AMAZING APARTMENT IN AJIJIC "A"
Well furnished. Great location. Extremely comfortable & roomy . Loved the patio breeze & sunshine filtered through the shades . Peaceful & tranquil atmosphere. Enjoyed the homey touches throughout. Although I didn’t need to contact host I felt she was available by comments sent . We enjoyed the popcorn & chips she left for us to snack on . Would definitely recommend & return

Casa Maria
The only thing I can say is that we had to pay extra to park in the premises and there was no a/c. It was pretty hot so that was uncomfortable at night to sleep.

Casita Jazmín❣️
I actually booked the place for my mom and aunt, who really enjoyed the place. The place is very nice and they take great care of all the details. The area is very safe and quiet. Rocío was super friendly and helpful at all times. It's a pleasure to deal with her.

Casa San Juan cosala
Everything is great, they should just leave or warn you to take raid because there are many scorpions and spiders (obviously it's normal for the hill) but to take precautions.

La Villita Ajijic
A beautiful and comfortable place to have a good time with family and friends. Extraordinary kindness from the hosts!

Beautiful apartment
I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in Ajijic! The apartment was even better in person—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It’s perfectly located within walking distance of everything: shops, restaurants, the lake, and the plaza. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, making check-in and the entire stay smooth and pleasant. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ajijic.

Sky and Lake
Manuel is the best host, always attentive, local recommendations, impeccable accommodation but above all an incredible person with whom we loved to meet, we will certainly return a thousand times.

Your guide to Ajijic
All About Ajijic
Set on the north shore of Lake Chapala and nestled in the Sierra Madre Mountains, Ajijic is known for its low-key atmosphere and rustic scenery. Given distinction as a Pueblos Magicos or “Magic Town” by Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism, Ajijic’s uniqueness is felt walking its cobblestone streets lined with colorful buildings, murals, and gardens. To the north, Sierra de San Juan Cosala Park offers hiking trails and waterfall views. Vistas of Lake Chapala, Mexico’s largest body of fresh water, can be taken in while walking the Malecon de Chapala promenade, and be sure not to miss the Danza de la Voladores, a traditional aerial performance, along the way. Boutiques, malls, and markets abound, and many locals congregate at the Lake Chapala Farmers Market every Wednesday for fresh produce. Known for its mix of locals and expats, the area exhibits an array of dining, including taquerias, tequila bars, pizza shops, French restaurants, and Thai cuisine.

Carnaval and the Fiesta de San Sebastian are popular events held in January, both of which include traditional parades. Teams of participants sponsored by local businesses prepare paper balloons weeks before the event where they are released amid food and beverage vendors.

Ajijic Farmer’s Market
Ajijic’s weekly farmer’s market, still known by its ancient Nahuatl name, tianguis, is filled with vendors selling fresh produce, fish, groceries, and flowers along with stands of prepared food. Taking place every Wednesday morning, the market also features a mix of craft vendors selling local artwork, curios, and jewelry.
Tepalo Waterfalls Hike
Lace up your hiking boots and hit the trail to see the waterfalls at El Tepalo and encounter Ajijic’s namesake — “the place of water.” Along the way, bask in the stunning views of Ajijic and the spectacular Lake Chapala below. The best time to view the waterfalls is during the rainy season, after a few days of heavy rain, as El Tepalo is dry until the rain makes the water flow.

All the beauty and vibrancy of Ajijic can be found on a stroll along its seaside boardwalk. Dotted with shops, restaurants, and ice cream vendors along with musicians, exercise equipment, and spots to catch golden sunset views, this charming promenade has it all.
