This is a beautifully renovated villa in the woods near Kita-Karuizawa Prince Land.The furniture and facilities were also new, and I felt like I was in a luxury villa for the rich. This building has 4 completely independent bedrooms on the 2nd floor, so it was very good for privacy.If you are coming with multiple couples, I think a separate bedroom is a must. I slept in the main bedroom, but when I woke up in the morning, I saw the trees outside, and it was a wonderful experience, as if I had slept in the forest. The barbecue area in the garden has a roof, so you can enjoy a barbecue without worrying about sudden rain.The equipment was new and good. You can also enjoy a real flame in the fireplace in the living room.After the barbecue, it was the best experience to drink whiskey while watching the flames of the fireplace in the living room. Another wonderful thing was the bathtub with a large window, which made you feel like you were bathing in the forest.I took a bath during the day, and I was very impressed by the view outside while soaking in the hot water, surrounded by the trees of the forest.We recommend that guests take a bath during the day when they can see the outside view.The bathtub was very large, and it was large enough for 1 adult and 2 children to enter together.You can enjoy bathing with your family. The host, Nahoko, kindly introduced us to nearby spots and restaurants.Asama Ranch and Toy Kingdom, which can be enjoyed by families, are nearby, so it is also recommended for those with children. You can park 3 cars, so it is recommended for multiple families. It was a lovely villa that I would like to stay in again in the summer.

The house was beautiful - we loved the design and the wonderful homely touches. Everything was very thoughtfully curated from the charcoal BBQ to the fairy lights welcoming us on arrival. Everything was spotless and we really appreciated that the house was dog friendly and our pup had a lovely time playing outside. Tsumagoi itself is quiet so one must be prepared to be a bit removed and to simply enjoy all the glorious nature. It was a good option to explore Karuizawa and Kusatsu onsen for anyone who’s willing to drive some stunning country roads.

The sauna, location, and price were great! They also provided ponchos and swimsuits, which was very kind! However, it was unfortunate that the floor of the washroom was flooded and the ventilation fan did not work. Even with some areas for improvement, it's still a 5-star.If you improve, you will get 5 stars or more. I want to use it again, so I'm cheering for it!

【RiverxBBQ】Enjoy nature in a villa｜

I really liked this place. Set on a small river, this recently renovated house has 2 bedrooms upstairs and the lounge/dining , kitchen, bathroom downstairs. I slept in the lounge/ dining in a futon on the tatami floor - classic Japanese style. You could hear the river flowing outside. Very peaceful. You really need a car and if you are staying here. Though there is a bus stop 20 metres away, however buses stop in the late afternoon (my daughter got caught 3 kms away at 6pm when the buses finished). A very picturesque area, rural, surrounded by mountains. There aren’t any restaurants or supermarkets/convenience stores or even vending machines in easy walking distance. Though the restaurants may have been closed as I was there out of season. If you want a chill place to stay in the mountains (and you have a car) then this is your place.
