We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

The villa was just as described. Great location, walkable to the beach and close to bars and restaurants yet still private. We were able to check in early and were met by Maria’s family and all the amenities were explained well. Maria checked in with us regularly and came to clean during our stay. We even locked ourselves out and Maria was very helpful in getting us back in. Check out was also very smooth and easy. Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

House impeccable as in the listing, close to shops, restaurants, beaches, main road. La canée, Gorges de samaria 5 hours by car. We had a great time. Thank you.

We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.

Very quiet place with amazing views. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is well equipped and has everything your heart desires. In the surrounding villages are very beautiful beaches, which were hardly visited, as well as small tavernas with super tasty and cheap food. We felt very comfortable.

An absolutely perfect stay! The villa was beautiful, very stylishly decorated and immaculately clean. Everything was really thought of: coffee, tea, sugar, spices, two coffee machines, tea maker, microwave, oven, stove, large fridge, freezer with ice cubes and complete kitchen equipment – absolutely nothing was missing. The pool was sparkling clean🏊, the barbecue station perfectly equipped🔥. Especially the fantastic view of the sea 🌊 was a real highlight and ensured relaxing moments. Also air conditioning in every room❄️, modern TV 📺 and stable, fast Internet – everything worked smoothly. We felt completely comfortable, didn't have to worry about anything and could just enjoy the time😌. The host prepared everything with a lot of love for detail – from the amenities to the cleanliness. We are very grateful for this wonderful experience and will definitely come back! Absolute recommendation – 10 out of 10! 🌟

What an amazing house. Absolutely beautiful interiors - as others have said it feels like a five star spa hotel. Amazing amenities, great kitchen, huge living room with stunning views, lovely balconies, super comfy beds, great showers…everything has been done to the highest standards. It’s just luxury! Situated a short walk from the fab restaurants and lovely beach in Sitia. Super easy to find- Marios’ instructions took us direct to the door. Parking directly outside the villa. Marios was an excellent host - always quick to respond and check in / out were seamless. Highly recommended. We can’t wait to return! Thanks Marios!

Elpida, a dream house, definitely recommended. Not only the location and the view are sensational, but also the house itself. We (married couple 63/61) were allowed to enjoy Angelika's unobtrusive and warm hospitality in May 2025 and had a relaxing week in or above the beautiful village of Mochlos. We have nothing to complain about, on the contrary - we have rarely found such a great place to stay. Perfect furnishings and very well-equipped kitchen, always a shady spot and very pleasant insect protection. The steep driveway up the mountain is also no problem after the first exercise. The scent of the plants is simply wonderful. Great place to stay which I highly recommend. We felt at home. We had the beach to ourselves, so to speak. Eftychia was always easily accessible, mega helpful and accommodating. As a welcome gift, she provided us with fresh vegetables, fruits and wine. Everything was perfect.

One of the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed at. Owner is great and took care of everything very fast and efficiently. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a secluded holiday in Crete. We will always go back to this place!

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The view of the water is absolutely beautiful. The host was incredibly helpful and even assisted us in booking our car rental for the vacation. The place was clean and well-maintained. The location is also great, with restaurants just a short walk away.

We loved our stay! The apartment is located just on top of the Taverna and about 15 meters from the beach. Within 5 minutes walk there is also a yoga location offering amazing drop in classes. From the moment we drove into the town we were warmly greeted by the lambros family. We spent the next 5 days at the beach and taverna relaxing. It was a great experience and we truly felt part of the local community for the short period we stayed. I highly recommend it if you want to relax and do less rather than more! The apartment is spacious and provides all you need for your stay, including a washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space to chill.

Wonderful location. Lively apartment. Only warning is - be prepared for lots of stairs! This is essentially a 4 floor apartment, with bathroom at the entrance floor and bedrooms on the 3rd. Equipment is top notch and the view is fantastic. Would highly recommend

Maria is an excellent host and we had a lovely few days in Plaka. The apartment was immaculate with a beautiful view of the sea and Spinalonga. We very much appreciated all the delicious treats and wine left for us - a lovely touch! It is a 10 to 15 minute walk down the hill to the lovely pebble beach and pretty town of Plaka. We highly recommend a stay here.

Staying at Maria and her wonderful husband's house was simply overwhelming. The village of Charaso is a beautiful village in the mountains and incredible for relaxation. The couple welcomed us as warmly as the inhabitants of Crete are. We fell in love with the local pastries that were provided to us and the recommendation for the restaurant Gia mas was really worth its weight in gold. Nowhere on the island have we received such loving mezze for so little money. The neighbors were also so incredibly hospitable. Very special greetings go to Eleftheria (I hope that's how you spell it), we miss you very much. We also hope that every visitor will take some cat food with them. Finally, we can only say: nowhere could we have experienced the real Cretan lifestyle better than in our cozy house in the great village of Charaso. We just fell in love.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovingly and cozily furnished accommodation. The apartment is superbly equipped – we really didn't miss anything. Angelos was extremely helpful, attentive and always easily accessible, which we greatly appreciated. The proximity to the beach was a real highlight, especially after our hikes – just ideal for relaxing. The location as a whole is also great: many great restaurants and a grocery store are within walking distance. We can fully recommend the apartment and would love to come back anytime!

We had a great stay here for our first week in Crete. The property is really nicely furnished and the views are absolutely stunning, both from the large balcony and the private rooftop space. The location was excellent for us, being in a very quiet neighbourhood but within a 3 minute walk from a lovely quiet beach, 10 minute walk from a larger sandy beach, and about 10 minute walk into the main town area which had lots of nice restaurants and shops. We loved watching the sun rise and having breakfast on the outdoor seating on the balcony each day. That view is beautiful. We also used the jacuzzi on the roof top several times. A great stay and we would certainly return and stay again.

This was a great stay 🤩 first of all, the house is literally right in front of the beach! there is privacy with no neighbors except for the house in the back which was not felt at all. there is a porch for hanging out, Yannis was above and beyond helpful and was available whenever we needed anything! thank you so much Yannis! 💛
