We are in awe with how amazing this place is. The river is a joyous sight to enjoy, the house is comfy, the hosts welcoming, and the drive up was full of grand views. There are trails, games indoors and outdoors, the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen from an Air B&B, and an amazingly relaxing softtub. Wanda and Greg were immediately inviting and let us know in advance what to expect on how to get there and the fun things to do while at Valhalla and in Mattawan. If I could recommend anything to someone coming here it would be to bring a good pair of waterproof shoes and a day pack to explore the mountain paths. They were a great treat and we would walk them again in a heartbeat. There are so many things to rave about at this cozy home I can't list them all here but we will be happy to return and enjoy even more of what Valhalla has to offer.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Notre fin de semaine a été géniale!! Nous étions 14 personnes et il y avait suffisamment de place pour tout le monde entre-autre assis à la table, au salon et toutes les places à coucher étaient très confortables! Il y avait une très grande variété de chose à faire sur place. Marc est un très bon hôte et il répond rapidement en cas de besoin! Je recommande!!!

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming lakeside cottage! From the moment we arrived, our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — they were incredibly kind, responsive, and full of thoughtful touches that made the experience feel extra special. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. But the real showstopper is the location — the views of the lake are absolutely breathtaking. Whether enjoying a quiet morning coffee on the dock or watching the sunset reflect off the water in the evening, every moment felt serene and magical. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by natural beauty and hosted by genuinely lovely people, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Very cozy place was perfect spot for a base camp for snowmobiling

Granite Lake Chalet was a beautiful spot for our family vacation. Host Pat was friendly and responsive, and her husband even helped us catch the NBA finals on TV. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking for our party of 7. Bathrooms were clean with ample towels and toiletries. The upstairs primary suite was roomy, with a large closet our 9-year-old used as a sleeping nook. The queen bedroom downstairs bedroom was tight due to bulky furniture; the 2nd bedroom with the bunk and double was much smaller than expected and would be much better suited for just kids. The screened-in patio was a cozy highlight, with lights, blankets, and candles for bug-free lounging. We also loved “Em’s Hideaway,” a quiet reading nook. Sturdy steps led to a magical, well-lit dock—best we’ve seen in Ontario. Great for fishing and relaxing. We launched our boat nearby, though the steep dirt ramp may require 4WD if it’s muddy. Caught mostly smallmouth bass and a couple pike. A great stay overall!

Nous avons passé un super week-end en famille. Le chalet était magnifique. La propreté, la décoration , les équipements à l ´intérieur comme à l’extérieur. Nous avons notamment beaucoup apprécié les équipements sportifs à l ´extérieur : canoë , pédalo.. l’hôte était très réactive. Nous n’avions plus de bouteille de gaz pour le barbecue et en moins de 10 min , quelqu’un est venu nous en apporter une . Très bel endroit, très reposant!!!

Bowhey’s is such a special place. All the amenities, clean cabins, staff is always busy working on something to make it even more beautiful. Ian is so great and laid back. Saturday night karaoke should not be missed! We will definitely be back.

We had such a wonder time at Manon's cottage. She was so helpful and responsive, would highly recommend. Beautiful cottage and views of the lake. Pool was a great bonus as well. Hoping to be back again soon!

Beautiful view of the West Bay! Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Friendly, laid back people were staying in nearby cottages and trailers. We went to the Lavigne Tavern down the road for supper and had an excellent meal and service. Likewise, picking up ice cream from the corner store. Very friendly, warm, relaxed town - we'll be back!

Kris' cottage was a wonderful stay and I would fully recommend it to other visitors! Our group enjoyed playing the games in the basement and the sauna/hot tub outside. The kitchen was stocked and everything was clean. 10/10!

Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und waren positiv überrascht. Der Ort ist abgelegen und ruhig, perfekt um seinen Urlaub zu genießen. Alle waren sehr freundlich, wurden sogar am ersten morgen zum frühstück eingeladen :) Es wären sogar Kajaks zum ausleihen mit dabei gewesen. Super für eine kleine & große Gruppe.

An Absolutely Amazing Stay with Superb Hosts! Our recent stay at this Lake Front Chalet, was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we booked, the hosts were incredibly responsive, accommodating, and proactive, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Reading the reviews beforehand definitely helped us envision and prepare for the property. The layout of the home was absolutely great, offering a wonderful flow throughout. All the rooms are very large, providing ample space and comfort for everyone. The amenities provided were fantastic, adding so much to our enjoyment. We especially loved the huge open-concept design with the large windows, which created such an inviting and bright atmosphere. We had a truly wonderful time and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a superb getaway. Thank you to our hosts for such an amazing experience!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the "Cozy Lake Front Nature Escape" in Maniwaki, Quebec, and it was a truly delightful experience. The chalet is nestled in a serene natural setting, offering picturesque views of the lake, which provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The interior was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with all the necessary amenities, including Wi-Fi, allowing me to stay connected during my retreat. The host was attentive and responsive, ensuring my stay was as pleasant as possible. They even organized a cute little treasure hunt for us to find our goodies. I especially appreciated the fresh farm cloves of garlic and eggs; they were lovely. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway immersed in nature.

This was my second year staying at Guy's, you can be sure I'll keep on making that 3.5 hour drive from Montreal every year. We found out that there's trout lakes in the area that are stocked yearly. I've yet to try their charted fishing service, but it's on my things to do list. Guy is quick to respond to any of our question, you will be in safe hands on your stay. I'll probably try and book a second trip up before the summer is over, hoping the schedule isn't all booked up.

This chalet was everything my boyfriend and I were seeking for a relaxing weekend away. The view was amazing, it was so peaceful and serene. Karine was so nice and very helpful. We had a lot of fun enjoying the outdoors, paddle boarding and reading outside. The chalet interior was cozy, clean and very well decorated. It exceeded our expectations.

The Hillside Dome at Tiny Village Ottawa River is amazing. The grounds are beautiful, the amenities are great, the staff are extremely pleasant and the owners are very accommodating and nice. I would 1000% stay here again and I would 1000% recommend.

This getaway was exactly what we needed! The cabin was such a unique little gem. Stunning views, the drive there was breath taking on its own. Cute towns surrounding the area as well! Thank you for hosting us!

Great place to chill out for a few days. The cottage and surroundings were quiet and beautiful. As for the hosts, Tina was really nice and easy to communicate with and her recommandations made everything easy. I highly recommend her and her husband’s cottage!
