I travelled to Kashmir for the first time with my wife and naturally I was looking for a good, secure, and cozy place. I searched many places and suddenly I saw this place right beside the beautiful dal lake with great review on the airbnb. I was sceptical about the place as it was relatively new but when I arrived my doubts were cleared instantly. The owner Sahil and especially his father was very friendly, helpful and treated us just like their family. Uncle (Sahil's father) is a great man and he managed our sikara ride beautifully and precisely just at the time of sunset ( in a very affordable rate). They also provided parking space for my rented scooty at their premises too. They greated us with delicious kehwa and also provided us with important knowledge about local surroundings. All the things they mentioned in the description were accurately provided along with great wifi connectivity. Overall our experience at Sunset Chalet was brilliant one an I would recommend it to all.

The bestest place i have ever stayed . Felt like home ♥️. With a very beautiful location and best hospitality by the owner . They won’t let you face any problem there . With a traditionally styled and warm bedroom to the perfect dishes from the kitchen ..everything is beyond perfect. Highly recommend.

We were on the way back from Pahalgam to Srinagar (after the deadliest attack) when I contacted Suraiya maam about the availability of the listing. It was an impromptu plan to Srinagar due to obvious reasons but I received the response within 5 minutes. We were all horrified about what happened in Pahalgam but Suraiya maam and the caretakers of the homestay made us feel very safe and comfortable. We slept very peacefully. The homestay was very cosy and my parents also find it homely. Cleanliness was upto the mark. Breakfast served was very nice. Overall, we had a very homely, pleasant and satisfying environment at this homestay. Will definitely come back here whenever in Srinagar next time. Would highly recommend this homestay if you are in Srinagar. It’s right at the centre of the city.

I lived Dr Insha and her lovely family for four days. Hers is a lovely and house located very close to Dal lake. I had the fortune of spending some memorable times in her beautiful house. The views were mesmerising and calming. I had a huge lovely chinar tree outside my room. Waking up to it was bliss. The family is warm, social and generous. I got to taste really delicious homemade Kashmiri food everyday. Moving around was easy since they fixed me up with their local driver who was very accommodating and offered reasonable rates. The house is located on a sprawling estate with fruit orchards, a farm with friendly ducks, chickens and cows tended to by the family. Cleanliness was very good too. This was an unforgettable experience. I could not have asked for more!

When travelling to Srinagar at least one night one should stay at a houseboat, just to get a slight feeling of what the past of this place might have been like. Javid was a great host, always checking in on me before during and after my trip. He gave me some great tips about how to move around. Also, there is a gentle boat guide collaborating with Javid and he speaks English quite well and knows very much about the changes of the past decades in his canals. I give his place five Stars for the beautiful experience. Namaste for this! Some tips though for travellers with sensible senses: Take some earbuds with you. The night I was there, the neighbours beside the boat were talking loudly and they also watched TV with open doors at night. Also, come in Spring or Summer. In Winter the room might not be warm enough for a comfortable night's sleep. I was unlucky that due to the wind, the electricity was off, so the heater wouldn't work either. But these are minor things you can prepare for.

We had a memorable stay at Dream House. Waking up to the Birds chirping over beautiful vast garden located in Paradise on Earth. Impressed with the Benevolent Hospitality of Dr Willayat's family for our ensuring pleasant stay. My gratitude to Javed bhai, who cooked tasty Jain food for us and even extended his service to cook for us when we got delayed and reached late at night. Willayat-ji meticulously took care of arranging sightseeing itinerary and providing the best cab/guide service that was no less than a VIP experience. We also had a wonderful conversation over a cup of coffee in his garden on Life, family, marriage, relationships, the culture, our younger days and the magic of the greater power who created favourable weather conditions for our effortless stay and sightseeing. We are lucky to meet such warm hearted people that makes our vacations indeed memorable. Thanks a lot Willayat-ji for taking care of our family during our short pleasant stay.
