Behind the building, a 5-second walk, is the northern mountain trailhead of Mt. Moiwa. It's a great time to take a bath right after enjoying the mountain climbing and cool off in the evening on the wooden deck. It is conveniently located about 1.5 km from the nearby ski resort, and has easy access to Jozankei and Lake Shikotsu.
