When I asked something I didn't know, they responded very kindly, and there was a studio-like place inside, and it was very stylish and I had a very pleasant time in each room!

This old house by the sea is a 10-second walk to the sea. You can see the sea from the house.

This was a great location close to the beach, in a quiet rural area. The home is rustic but has all of the amenities listed, including an annex with a western bedroom for those that may prefer to use the bunkbeds. We stayed in the main building which had a toilet at one end, shower at the other, with plenty of living space. We even made use of the washing machine! The futons were quite comfortable but given the age of the home and traditional constructions there was traffic noise evident at night. While we enjoyed our stay, this home is best suited for those under 5’8” tall…those of us around 6’ have to duck everywhere, especially in the kitchen.

100 years traditional island cuisine and old life

PaulRating, 5 stars67 months ago
The hospitality and food were off the charts! The food was unexpectedly incredible and the best meals we experienced on our three week trip. OKUMA and his wife were perfect hosts. It felt like a homestay. The accommodation is traditional and simple and the somewhat remote location is a perfect respite from the hectic cities. We walked up into the hills and around the island and travelled to Saiki and Oita.

An inn where you can fully enjoy the night in Saebyeul

ReenaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We enjoyed our stay as a family of 5! So many restaurants and bars in a 5 minute walk distance, as well as Saiki castle and other tourist sites. Because it’s in the city center, it was noisy at night through windows as we stayed Saturday night. Thank you for hosting!
